Buns & Thighs II

I hate to admit this.

Even though I am one of the biggest advocates of daily exercise and a healthy lifestyle... the last few weeks I fell into my busy lifestyle and skipped my daily O! workouts.

It always starts out being too busy just ONE day, then it turns into a WEEK... and slowly, I come to realize that I don't recall the last time I popped in an Oxycise DVD and exercised.

I started feeling ashamed, how can I motivate other people to exercise if I can't even keep it up myself?
Last night, I buckled down. Right at 5:00, before I started dinner, I took 15-20 minutes to do my O!...

and O! did it feel good!!!

I did the Oxycise! Buns & Thighs 2.

My BUNS are BURNIN'!

I forgot what a great rear-end lifter those exercises were. Now, I can't wait to do some Abs & Upper Body tonight!

Every step I take today, I feel the burn in my buns and thighs and I am feeling on top of the world. I'm back to my old exercise routine... all it takes is ONE day to commit and soon, you won't remember what it's like to NOT exercise.

Tomorrow, if you see me, I'll be walking down the street with a smile on my face because my arms will be sore from the Abs & Upper Body workout.

I don't think anything can compare to that day-after feeling of knowing you did something good for your body... and you just feel GREAT!

Age Is Only a Number

"Age is only a number. I'm really doing great - Abs and Upper Body - still a killer, but every day I get to stretch a little more... in the very beginning of Oxycise! I could never do quad stretch - now - no problem. So tell all your clients - just keep at it."

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you are all having the most wonderful Valentine's Day! I spent Valentine's Day morning at my sisters (since I watched her kids the night before so she and her husband could go out on a nice date). This morning, her husband was so sweet and brought her roses and chocolates, which the kids delivered to her in bed. Then, we enjoyed heart-shaped pink pancakes... well, most of them resembled hearts... we tried! :)

It was such a sweet morning. I then headed home and was greeted by my sweet husband with a loving card and a flower bead (flowers that will last forever) to add to my bracelet. Tonight, we're off on a lovely date... he won't tell me where we're going yet. I'm so excited!

I'm so grateful for family and friends. I'm especially grateful for love. I love love. I love that we have a day where we can all celebrate that love, although hopefully we're doing that everyday of our lives anyway! It's always nice to have an especially great day where love, the greatest gift, is celebrated.
I hope all of you are having wonderful Valentine's and that you showed someone else today just how much you love them.

The Number One Worst Food in America

According to Men's Health Magazine...

What would you guess is the worst food you could order while out to eat (we all know the worst food could not possibly come from your kitchen)?

If you guessed...

Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing

then you would be correct!

Some quick facts about this deliciously tantalizing appetizer:
2900 calories

182 g fat

240 g carbs

Wait, but what if it's an appetizer for our small group of girlfriends? Well... do the math... how many are you with? Let's say there are 4 cute ladies sitting down to great night out. In just this one snack, you have already had more than 1/3rd of your daily allowance (for women... and it still doesn't look pretty for men, either).
What are you planning on eating after this? A plate full of strawberries, grapes, and celery? Or are you thinking a steak, sides, and maybe even top it off with a dessert?

You have officially eaten MORE than the amount of calories you should have in
ONE day, in ONE meal!

How does your stomach feel now? Your body is working hard to digest and send the nutrients to the right places... but it's swamped... you have now forced your body to send more into the fat storage. It can't take it anymore!
Tip from Men's Health: Start your meal with a protein-based dish that's not deep-fried. A high-protein starter helps diminish hunger without putting you into calorie overload. WOMEN: we do not need as much food as men... so let's not eat like we do!
