Researchers from three universities divided a group of 30 overweight female college students into four groups: (1) Those who exercised for 30 continuous minutes
five days per week After 12 weeks, women in the three exercise groups experienced an increase in aerobic capacity and a significant decrease in Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat. Women in the non-exercise control group saw an increase in their body weight and BMI. The researchers say their results show that
exercise accumulated in several short bouts has similar beneficial effects as
