When I do Oxycise! I feel good all day long. It feels so invigorating to breathe deeply and feel my muscles tightening and stretching. After an Oxycise! workout I feel a real sense of accomplishment knowing that I have achieved a daily goal and have done something that's good for my health. I feel stronger physically AND emotionally.... less stressed, more focused. I have more energy all day. Oxycise! really does feel good all over!

I have decided that doing Oxycise! at least five days a week is a "top priority" for my health and well-being. So ... why is it that I still struggle with DOING Oxycise! consistently every day? And sometimes I intentionally "put it off until later", but never get around to doing it. When that happens I feel disappointed in myself. You know the nagging feeling you get when you are leaving on a trip, and you feel like you're forgetting something important? That's how I feel when I DON'T do Oxycise! There's definitely something missing... all that extra oxygen that my body needs to feel its best!

Maybe some of you are more disciplined than I am -- you may be very faithful about keeping your daily Oxycise! commitments, even if your workout "appointment" is scheduled later in the day. But I have learned through careful self-observation, that I have to do Oxycise! "first thing" in the morning -- or else I will weasel out of it somehow! I've even noticed that the minute I tell myself, "Time for Oxycise!" that I will then suddenly come up with a whole bunch of other things that I "have to do first" ... "Oh, I'd better unload the dishwasher first"... "My houseplants look really dry, I'd better give them some water" ... "I need to dust the VCR right now" (etc.) I've come to recognize these sudden impulses as subconscious attempts from my own "weak side" to get me out of doing a workout! Pretty pathetic, huh? Shame on me... I do know better!

So for myself (and any others who need this):
"OK, it's time for Oxycise! -- right NOW! I know you have lots of other things to do....but they can probably wait. Oxycise! is first on the list... No excuses this time! Get up right now, walk over to the VCR, and push that button. Get moving... and start breathing! .... Now, doesn't that feel GREAT?" (Phew, thanks... I needed that!)

Here are some tips to help you make the most of every workout!

Practice the Basic Breath in between your workouts -- "practice makes perfect!"
Use LOTS of air, whether you are breathing in or out.
Be sure to relax your abdominal muscles on every inhale so you take in deep, full breaths,
    but really work your abs as you lift, sniff, exhale, and puff!
When you do the Lift and scoop, be sure to scoop IN with your abs, not out.
Fast-forward your workout video to Jill's body position demonstrations. Do the positions along
    with Jill and follow her tips.

*E* How Do I Get Started With the Oxycise! Program?

There are several different ways to get started on the road to permanent weight control and better health with Oxycise!

* If you are just beginning to do Oxycise!, It's essential to have at least ONE of the following:

Level 1 video set
"Oxycise!" (the book)
"Easy Does It" Level 1 video set (moves at a slower pace, and has no floor positions)
