Here's a "review" we received from a customer after she had been doing
Oxycise! for 2 weeks:
"It was such a treat to have your package waiting for me when I returned
from North Carolina. At the time I had been doing Body Flex for two
weeks, and now have done two weeks of Oxycise!
"I didn't take my body measurements when I first began either program.
Basically I don't have a lot of inches or weight to lose; I just wanted
to tone up and feel better and maybe get rid of some cellulite if that's
possible. (Also, I'm going to my 30-year high school reunion in July and
it would be nice to be looking good if you know what I mean!)
"Both programs offer the flexibility to do them when you are traveling
and can be done in any room so they are convenient. You don't get all
sweaty and exhausted from doing either routine. I actually look forward
to doing the Oxycise! workout and so I don't postpone it or dread it.
Always I feel energized after doing the exercises...it's not a depleting
type of workout...it sort of "restores" you physically and emotionally.
"I was enthusiastic about the BodyFlex program when I began it. But now
that I have been doing Oxycise! for a couple weeks, I honestly feel it
is far superior. It is remarkably simple and certainly easy enough for
anyone to master if they focus on it.... I just feel that I am doing a
more complete, well-thought-out workout with Oxycise!
"For the first 3 or 4 days I had to really focus and concentrate on the
breathing to do it properly and I felt that it took a certain amount of
coordination to do it properly. So in that way, I think there is a
little more investment of energy or a greater initial start-up time to
the Oxycise! program. But I think there is a better payoff with the
results and what you are doing for your body. I feel totally relaxed
when I am done with the workout.
"The benefits that I have noticed so far are:
* An improvement in my posture. I've never had very good posture and now
I see a definite improvement without any concentration on my part. I
think that my abdominal muscles have strengthened so I just naturally
sit up straighter and walk with a better posture.
* I'm actually beginning to see a little "definition" in my midriff
area; I've never been overweight in this area, but I am looking better
there...more toned and the muscles look stronger.
* My period actually "sneaked up on me" a few days ago; I don't keep
any calendar for that because my PMS symptoms always give me plenty of
notice when my period is coming. This month I didn't have any of that
bloated or tired out feeling I usually get.
* My butt feels firmer and I'm wearing jeans I couldn't fit into a month
ago.
"I do the workout once or twice a day, and even fit a few reps in when
I'm driving around town. Although I only intended to do Oxycise! once
each day, my daughter, Gabriella, has asked me to do it with her a few
times in the evenings. She doesn't do it perfectly, but I think she is
getting some benefit out of it. She thought it might improve her
breathing for both playing hockey and for playing her trumpet."
"I had a baby four months ago and since the third trimester and until
now my knees hurt every time I had to get up. I was told I had to
exercise more to get the blood pumping. Well I was walking 2 miles
every other day and it wasn't doing anything for me. I decided to start
Oxycise! since it's a lot easier to do and it only takes 15 minutes out
of my day.
"I felt great emotionally right away but wasn't noticing any extreme
difference in my weight loss. A week and a half later...I noticed my
knees stopped hurting. I couldn't believe it! My doctor couldn't even
figure out why they were hurting in the first place and when I had them
X-rayed, there was no sign of arthritis.
"So...no more pain and much more Oxycise! in my life!"

"Just a note to let you know I really appreciate the newsletter. I have
numerous, rather significant health problems now and it's been almost
impossible to find exercises I can do on a regular basis. I believe
Oxycise! is going to be the one I need. I've had to start slowly over
the past 3 weeks, but I've started picking up the pace and feeling
better already. Please keep the newsletter coming. It's helped so much
when it's been tough to get up and try. I hope to add my own

Here's an email from one of our Canadian customers:
"Why I Love Oxycise!"
1. First, it arrived so quickly. I ordered it on a Monday and it arrived
that Friday. This is a world's record for Canadian post! It made me feel
that my order was handled quickly and efficiently. Thank you.
2. I love that there is such great internet support for Oxycise! I
really enjoy reading the OxyChat site - people write in questions that I
have had too, and it's great to read the answers and to post myself. I
also enjoy the newsletter!
3. The actual exercises are wonderful. I feel so energized. It took me a
couple of days to feel that I could really coordinate the breathing and
the positioning. But it's becoming a much more natural feeling already.
4. I had tried another breathing exercise program but it was way too
noisy! I like to do the exercises in the early morning, and the other
program was waking my kids up -- not something I want in the early
hours! One of the first days I did that program, one of my daughters
woke up and came running out -- she thought I was choking and dying.
Oxycise! gives me an excellent workout and it's nice and quiet! I was
also hesitant (i.e., didn't do it!) to do the other program when I was
visiting relatives this summer. Just sounds too odd. I can do Oxycise!
at anytime, anywhere and no one needs to know. I frequently do positions
while I work on the computer.
5. I have been focusing on eating healthy foods for a few weeks now and
have lost 10 lbs. I have also been trying to do some other form of
exercise every day -- walking with friends, playing tennis or following
an exercise tape. I had been following this program for 2 weeks before
receiving Oxycise! so it's hard to say what benefits are from Oxycise!
and what are from the others. Actually, I'm sure it's a combination of
all of these.
6. I did notice after the first few days of Oxycise! that my abdominal
and buttock muscles were really sore! Oxycise! gives them a great
workout -- better than the other exercises I have done. Since adding
Oxycise! to my day just one week ago, I have lost 2" around my waist!
It's much easier for me to hold those muscles in throughout the day,
too.
7. I think Oxycise! also really energizes me for the day. I have so much
more energy than before.
8. I have also noticed an improvement in my posture. I think some of
this is due to the tightening of those muscles used in standing tall
through Oxycise! and some through just becoming more aware of those
muscles.
9. I'm closing in quickly on 50 and have been feeling my age in my
joints. Therefore, it was very important for me to have an exercise plan
that was easy on my joints -- not a lot of jumping around, etc. Oxycise!
is terrific for that. It is gentle yet strenuous at the same time -- you
really feel like you get a good workout. I like the way Jill
demonstrates how to modify the positions if you have trouble with
particular joints. I can do all the exercises now but am pleased that it
is a plan that can be modified to last me the rest of my life.
10. I love the Oxycise! Chart Your Success booklet. Really fun to fill
in all the different parts -- food diary, measurement charts, Body Mass
Index, etc. I love the little increments you use for charting so that
the feeling of success is easy to achieve!
11. I shouldn't forget one of the best parts of Oxycise! -- how little
time it takes. I'm a single mom of two who works full time and my time
is precious. Oxycise! takes just 15 minutes a day and I feel like I get
an excellent workout. So it's very time efficient.
12. I've been so excited about Oxycise! that I already ordered the Level
II tape. I've heard great things about it on OxyChat, so am excited to
see it.

"Once again, I look in the mirror and see pooches and bulges that can be
hidden with sweatshirts but will not look good bulging out of summer
tops and shorts.
"A little over a year ago I got serious with Oxycise! and lost 35 pounds
and several inches. I went from size 16 to 12, and even some 10's. I
felt great. For whatever reason, I stopped Oxycising. I've gained back
14 pounds and have less energy, get stressed more easily, don't sleep as
well and feel yucky in general. With all of these benefits, I have no
clue as to why I can't convince myself to spend 15 simple minutes doing
something that makes me feel so good.
"Thank goodness for the newsletter. I read it every week and it kept me
reminded of the benefits and others' successes.
"As of the first of February I have re-dedicated myself to getting those

"...Three years ago I did the phen/fen thing and lost 20 lbs. (that's
all I had to lose back then). Then I had a baby and gained LOTS of
weight. I was ashamed to tell people back then how I had lost the
weight. But not now. I tell everyone I meet about Oxycise! I'm not
ashamed or embarrassed to tell anyone. I am always lending my tapes to
people to try it out. Ok that's my story, now here are my results: I
have lost 17 lbs. I have lost 1-1/4 in. fron my hips, 3-1/4 in. from my
waist, 2 in. from my thighs and from my chest and 3 in. from my
saddlebags (a special little area of fat below my waist and above my
thighs that's kind of like a spare tire). My friend has
lost over 18 in. from all over her body. She does not have a scale so
she doesn't know how much weight she has lost. We are sold on it. We are
convinced we are breathing our way to better health and slimness. I have
about 40 lbs more to lose and my friend has probably twice that. We are
determined to do it and prove that it can work no matter how much you
weigh when you start!"

Thank you so much for the encouraging letters. They really help to keep
me motivated.
"I have exercised daily, except Sundays, using various videos. My sister
in Seattle told me about Oxycise1 and I ordered the tapes, even though
they sounded too good to be true.
"I used them in addition to my other exercise videos, because I was
afraid they weren't going to be vigorous enough. During an aerobics
class I injured my hip and could not do the strenuous exercises for
awhile. I went strictly to Oxycise! and was pleasantly surprised to find
that I was feeling just as strong and health wise seemed to be less
inclined to have colds or flu when everyone else around me was sick.
"My hip has healed and I am doing some aerobics because I enjoy it. But,

If you Keep on breathin' and doing Oxycise! faithfully you will see
positive changes. Whether those changes come in the form of pounds,
inches, or looser clothing, it's very exciting to keep track of the
changes in your own body!
Here's advice from Jill about measuring your own progress:
"Start right now...Grab a pencil and tape measure. Write down the date.
Weigh yourself. Measure the body areas you want to track.
(NOTE: The book "Chart Your Success" is a great way to keep track of
your progress... for more information see www.oxycise.com/store/chart.htm
)
Jill continues,
"Weigh every morning. I recommend weighting yourself every morning, and
writing it down. You will not show a steady weight loss every single
day! Your body is not a machine. If you understand and accept that, then
you are farther down the road to success. There are many reasons for the
fluctuations you see on the scale such as menstrual cycle, late-night
eating, and normal body processes. As you track your weight each day,
you will become used to these fluctuations."
"Measure once a week. You can measure every day if you want, but it's a
little more time consuming than weighing, which is why I suggest doing
it weekly. Your records will be more consistent if you measure without
any clothes on.
"Measure the places you're interested in tracking, but for most men, a
waist and chest measurement are sufficient. For women, rib cage, waist,
hips, and one thigh are plenty to keep track of. Your can assume that if
these areas are firming up, the rest of your body is also."

Another way to keep track of your progress is to periodically try on an
article of clothing that is just "out of reach," such as a pair of jeans
that don't quite fit. (Keep on breathing and they WILL!!!)
Jan, a mother of four, wrote to us:
"I got into my jeans last night that I haven't been able to wear for so
long! (I couldn't even pull them up over my rear end.) My clothes look
nicer. My mid-section has felt so bloated for so long, and that is going
away. With so many exercise programs you don't see results for so long,
but with Oxycise! I see results now and it keeps me motivated to
continue."

I thought it would be fun to get to know Susan better.
Susan says she sometimes alternates her Oxycise! workouts with riding a
stationary bike. And she is following the Weight Watchers eating plan.

"I have the Oxycise! tapes 1-4, Buns & Thighs 1 & 2 and Abs and Upper
Body. I do Oxycise! about 6-7 times a week. I am a typical stay-at-home
mom with two kids under two, so I have very little time to work out. I
do Oxycise! in the evenings after the kids go to bed and love the fact
that I can do it without working up a sweat and requiring a shower. I
also love that my time commitment is about 20 minutes."
"I have had the Oxycise! tapes for a few years and would start them (and
always have pretty great results the first 2 weeks or so) but then I was
never really committed to doing them full time and would stop. I started
doing them this time around because I had 105 lbs to lose and knew I
really needed to build and shape muscle to be successful. I also have
had 2 babies in the last 2 1/2 years and my tummy muscles are pretty out
of shape. I knew Oxycise! really helps tone those and quick! (I lost 1
inch off of my waist and 2 off my hips my very first week doing
Oxycise!)
"I also have had bad hip problems during both my pregnancies (pubic bone
separation) and afterwards. I started seeing a chiropractor soon after
my son was born last year and while his adjustments helped, my hips just
wouldn't stay in alignment. After starting Oxycise!, my hips have been
so much better. I can sleep at night without pain, and even though I
still need an adjustment about once a month, I don't need to take Advil
or Tylenol every day like I did.
"I am a big fan of Oxycise! because it is so convenient. I wouldn't say
it is easy, though - if it is done correctly it is a really tough
workout and my muscles know they have done some work the next day. When
I choose to ride my stationary bike instead of doing Oxycise! it is
usually because I feel lazy and don't want to work that hard!"

"So far I've only lost 25lbs and have 80 to go, but am planning to stick
with it! :-)

"Hi Julie,
I am still very delighted with the Oxycise! program. I was sidetracked
with a health problem for awhile but am back to doing my O's. I have
lost 35 pounds. I am now totally in my normal weight range. My doctor
was delighted with that since he had asked me if I wanted 3 or 6 months
to get the weight off. Six months worked. My cholesterol went down 65
points just by losing weight and doing Oxycise! Jill's book 'Fuel for
Success' is a wonderful help. I just received my order of Oyxcise! Level
3 and Level 4. I am looking forward to doing those too after watching
the instructions on them. It will be great to alternate these videos
with Level 1 and Level 2 for the exercises.
"I still haven't taken any pictures of 'after.' Big change since the
'before' pictures, though. Will have to get going on that for you.
"My husband is also on the program. I know he will enjoy the new levels
too."

Besides your regular workout session, take advantage of those extra
minutes you have each day and do some extra Oxycise! reps. Try them
while you are:
* Sitting in your car -- In line at the bank, Waiting for kids after
games and lessons, At a red light, While commuting.
* In your kitchen -- Waiting for the beeper on the microwave, Standing
at the stove, Waiting for "Junior" to finish his cereal.
* During commercials while watching TV
* Waiting for the elevator
* Waiting in line at the grocery store
* During a boring meeting
* Waiting for a computer program to load
Get the idea? Every one of us has countless "extra" minutes each day
where we can fit in a few more productive breaths!

About 15 years ago I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand. It
took several days before I could even touch my thumb and forefinger
together, and a few more days before I could reach my middle finger. I
remember feeling a lot of discomfort for a few weeks after surgery.
Just yesterday morning I had carpal tunnel surgery again, this time on
my left hand. I'm feeling great and having very little pain. I'm
already able to touch my thumb and middle finger together. And I'm
typing the newsletter today -- with BOTH hands! I'm pretty amazed at
the difference in my recovery between now and my last surgery. It's
possible that the surgical techniques for this procedure have improved
in the last 15 years, but I think Oxycise! may also have something to do
with it. When I had my first surgery I had not yet discovered Oxycise!
But yesterday morning I was doing lots of Oxycise! reps -- before and
after surgery. And lots more breaths today. Could Oxycise! be the
reason for the difference in my recovery?
"I have had the "Easy Does It" starter set for about a month and
recently received the Levels 2 and 3 tapes to provide me with a little
variety.
"I weigh 140 lbs. and am 5'6" tall with very good carriage. I'm not
looking to lose much, because I think at age 82, I am at my best
fighting weight. Have never thought scrawny old ladies were particularly
attractive.
"My arthritic knees decided about 6 years ago that I should stop my
Jazzercise classes. If I hadn't had my yoga (been doing it for over 45
years and still attend two classes a week) to fall back on, I may have
really gone to pot (small play on words there!). I've always used deep
yoga breathing to get that oxygen in and to help me sleep, but it's not
as energetic as your method.
"Having said that, may I now say that after doing Oxycise! for a few
weeks, I am beginning to notice a definite tightening of the areas that
needed it. No, I'm sorry, I haven't been measuring, but I look trimmer,
my jeans are a little looser, and I do feel more energetic!
"For some of the stretching positions, I have been substituting yoga
postures that I feel best utilize the areas of my body that I want to
tone. And I love the commuter tape! I visit a shut-in friend about once
a week, and she lives 20 minutes away, so I get two of its workouts on
those days!!....
"You're more than welcome to use my email if you'd like. I'm hoping in
the next several months to have more exciting news to share. Fortunately
I have a healthy heart and my blood pressure is fine. It's just my knees
..... after all that jitter-bugging I did!!
"I'm not a small woman (a comfortable size 14), and have never had a
protruding tummy. I'm well proportioned, have excellent posture, but
have noticed recently that I was getting a little thicker around the
middle. I'm certain that Oxycise! is going to take care of that!"

For some reason, I also had a little difficulty in remembering to do my
Kegel exercises daily. Now I simply incorporate them in the "lift and
tuck" and Bingo! .... better bladder control!

instead of just waiting to start, while Jill explains the position, I go
ahead and sneak in a couple of extra breaths. I'm sure I do at least 40
reps per tape! And it's so easy to do just the diaphragmatic breathing
at any time or any place!"

"Breathing practices are usually of great benefit to those with CFS or
FM because they help to release toxins and impurities from the body. The
basic breathing practice in yoga is called deergha swasam, the
three-part breath. This can be done while sitting in a chair with the
spine straight but not stiff. Take control of the breath, then exhale
deeply from the abdomen. Let the inhalation begin in the abdomen, flow
through the lower chest, then rise into the upper chest. When it reaches
the upper chest, the collarbones may slightly rise. Then, exhale from
the collarbones, deep into the abdomen. This is one breath. In the
beginning, continue the practice for a couple of minutes, gradually
lengthening the time up to five minutes."

"Jill,
Barbara (56) and I (67) have been Oxycising for about four weeks and
have become quite religious about it. We work out to your beginning
video and love the setting of firs and snow fields. However, this week
we found our own special setting. We were on the beach at DelMar (CA)
and it was perfect. We even found a retaining wall for the wall
exercises, rock outcroppings and a short wall for chair exercises.
Can't wait to get our tape for the next level. Oh, yes, we have also
sold our neighbor on the program and he is thrilled (heart patient).
