*A* Oxycise! Can Change YOUR Life!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's so rewarding for us to receive messages from customers who say that
Oxycise! has changed their lives for the better. The email from Bob,
below, is just one example of hundreds of similar reports we have
received over the years. Like Bob, many people thought they were "too
old" to lose weight and feel good again. We love to prove them wrong!
If you need encouragement to get started with Oxycise! -- or motivation
to keep on breathing -- read through our Success Stories. They're all
real letters from customers like Bob -- and you!
"Hi Jill:
Thanks for doing the exercises every day with me. I do them on the video
with you and it has turned out to be the best thing I have done for
myself.
"I started the Oxycise! program I think about last January 2004. I
really didn't think it would work, I thought I was too old. Age was my
problem. I was tired and run down and felt just plain lousy. I was about
50 pounds overweight and was wearing a tight 44 pants. ...I saw an add
for the Oxycise! program and decided it was time to stop and try and do
something. I thought I was too old to do the weight thing.
"Much to my surprise I started and I felt a lot better after the first
week. My breathing was good and my energy level was on the rise. In fact
I fired the lawn man and am now doing all of the yard and singing again
in Church, and the breath is good. I have so many rewards for doing your
program I can't believe them all. I am contemplating going for the next
level as I feel so good on this one and am able to do them at the right
speeds with you on the video. Well I have lost 50+ pounds and have lost
6 sizes and have the energy of being about 20 years younger. Thanks
again for the program and believe me, if I feel this good at 75 then
anyone can do it and succeed. May God bless you and yours and may
America join in to fitness."
"This weekend while cleaning out a closet, I found the records I kept
when I started Oxycise! in 1999. WOW, was I pleased with myself when I
looked over those numbers. I have lost 25 pounds and 23 inches in four
years! I have maintained the same weight for over a year doing the
Oxycise! routine three times a week and several breathing reps a day,
often in the car. I began to wonder what size I would be if I hadn't
discovered Oxycise??? Not a pleasant thought! This is the one thing that
has worked for me. Thanks again for the program and support through the
wonderful newsletter and helpful telephone representatives."
Can you really lose weight and KEEP it off with the Oxycise! program?
Here are just a few answers to that question from many Oxycise!
customers who have done exactly that!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Helene from New Jersey:
"Oxycise! helped me go from a 16/18 to a 10/12 in only 6 months and I've
maintained the loss for over 3 years now. Everything is better because
of what Oxycise has done for me. It's literally changed my life. Look no
further....Oxycise is the answer!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jodi from Fairbanks, Alaska:
"I started this routine as part of a New Year's resolution weight loss
challenge at work. I started about 4 different things at once to
increase my chances of finally losing weight. Oxycise! is the only thing
I have really maintained all through and I won the challenge, lost 60
pounds and have kept if off for over a year now. Unlike everyone else, I
did not yo-yo. We weighed in every two weeks and I never went up at all.
"It is a great plan. Everyone tells me this can't be ALL I am doing, but
it is the only consistent thing. I love that you don't have to do it all
at once. I just do it periodically throughout the day, so it doesn't
seem like a 'chore' or something I have to schedule. It is fabulous. I
feel great and everyone comments on how much better I look."
Penny Edwards, registered nurse:
"I have been doing Oxycise! for almost 1 year now... I've never been a
dieter or exercise type person - but after 3 kids and in my late 30's, I
found myself at 150 pounds and feeling uncomfortable. At first, I did
Oxycise! 1-2 times a day, 7 days a week. I also started eating more
fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water (and no more Coke!).
From June 1 - October 1, I lost 30 pounds, going from a very tight size
12, to a very comfortable size 6 (even bought one pair of khakis - size
4!). I have maintained this weight since, doing Oxycise! about 4-5 days
a week. I still really look forward to doing the workout - it has become
a part of my life. Aside from the weight and inch loss, I now no longer
suffer from lower back pain in the mornings - which I thought was due to
my mattress - but I guess it wasn't. This is a wonderful way to exercise
- especially for those of us with small children - when going to the gym
or even a brisk walk through the neighborhood isn't feasible. ... Level
2 is my favorite - and the one I do most of the time."
"I not only look younger, I have more energy than my teenagers.."
"As a faithful user of the program for 4+ years now, I can't tell you
what a blessing Oxycise! has been. For starters, I didn't take Oxycise!
as seriously as I should have in the beginning. I went through the
motions about 3x's a week and saw slow progress. I blamed everybody
except myself. I since have learned 'WHAT I PUT INTO SOMETHING, I WILL
GET OUT.' It's as simple as that. I began to pour myself into all of
Jill's information; every article written, every book she has published,
and so on. I learned about the proper way to fuel my body. TODAY--I eat
more food than I have ever before, I faithfully do Oxycise! at 5:30
EVERY morning and sometimes around 7pm just before my shower. I not only
look younger, I have more energy than my teenagers (I can even beat them
when we jog), my metabolism is that of my youth (I eat 5-6 small HEALTHY
meals a day), and look 10 years younger than my age.
"Please take Oxycise! seriously and GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT! Thank you,
Jill, for creating this fabulous workout for a better life."
"Hi, Just a short message about Oxycise! I started Oxycise! about a
month ago and I feel firmer in my legs and arms. I haven't lost any
weight yet, but I'm hopeful, and I have lost inches. I would like to see
Jill make more "Easy Does It" videos. I can keep up with the pace and I
also like the three segments. Thank-you soooo much for thinking about us
"Hi Julie,
I have been reading medical reports saying how deep breathing is a great
stress reliever. Florida has really been under a stressful situation
with the hurricanes. One news report said that everyone in this state
has been subjected to trauma even if you aren't in a damaged area.
Thankfully there has been no damage where we live, but we really feel
for those who have been affected by the storms.
"One thing that has helped, I believe, is having the Oxycise! program
available. Doing the breathing exercises does help relieve stress and
gives energy. I've been privileged to do some volunteer work in Punta
Gorda in connection with food preparation and serving the workers who
are helping with the rebuilding for the victims of the hurricane. Some
have lost not only their homes but their jobs too. This help will be
ongoing down here for a long time. It has been great to see so many
helping when these things happen."
Joanne
Regarding her Oxycise! workouts, Joanne writes:
"My favorites are Levels three and four. My husband and I have been to
that area in Colorado and love the scenery in the background for the
exercises. Those exercises are really effective too. I am so glad I have
several of the videos for variety. That keeps the program interesting."
She adds, "My 87 year old mother in Minnesota is still doing Oxycise!
too. That is probably helping her to stay young and able to keep up with
her busy schedule."
Losing Weight and Keeping it Off
The National Weight Control Registry, established in 1993, has tracked
and studied the behavior of over 4,000 people who have lost weight and
kept it off. Registry members have lost at least 30 pounds and have
maintained their loss for at least one year, but the average weight loss
and maintenance time is 67 pounds and six years.
Dr. James Hill, Ph.d., director of the Center for Human Nutrition at the
University of Colorado Health Science Center, and one of the principal
investigators of the National Weight Control Registry, has identified
four characteristics that seem common in these successful individuals:
1. Eat a low-fat, high carbohydrate diet ~
"Although a lot of people may think of only pasta and bread when they
hear the word "carbohydrates," complex carbohydrates are in many foods,
not only grains but also in beans and many vegetables. People in the
Registry say they get about 56% of their calories from such
carbohydrates, and only about 19% of calories from protein. Fat makes up
about 25% of their diet."
"The fact is that you can probably lose weight on any of the major diet
plans, and Registry members slimmed down employing all sorts of
different approaches.
"However, what we've found is that people who are successful at
maintaining their weight loss eat a low-fat and high-carbohydrate diet.
So while a protein diet may be good for losing weight, it may not be the
best for long-term weight maintenance."
2. Exercise every day ~
"Exercise is key to maintaining your weight loss and it's probably more
important than diet."
3. Eat breakfast every day ~
"Although some people try to lose weight by cutting down on the number
of meals they eat, that really isn't a good strategy. Skipping meals
often just means that you'll be starving later and wind up overeating.
Starting the day with breakfast can help prevent that, and on average,
members of the Registry eat breakfast every day. A daily breakfast may
also be a sign of the discipline that Registry members bring to how they
eat. Being careful about when you eat may also help make you conscious
of what you eat.
4. Keep track of your weight and eating ~
"We don't know exactly why regular weighing is a common characteristic
of people who've been successful at maintaining their weight, but we
speculate that people use their scales as an early warning system. If a
person weighs herself regularly, she'll notice quickly if she has gained
a few pounds and can then implement some strategies to prevent gaining
more."
The encouraging news from Dr Hill:
"Regardless of body type or genetics, all sorts of people are
successfully losing weight and keeping it off. While it may take some
hard work and dedication, you can as well."
