"Hi, I have been doing the Oxycise! exercises since last July. I have
lost 10 inches total and feel great. The pounds have not come off as I
had hoped but the body reshaping is amazing! I no longer have to wear
the size 14 or 12 as I did last summer. I can fit into a size 10 now and
that has not happened for about 2 years. It's true that you have to
ignore the scale and judge more on how you feel and how your clothes are
fitting. I do my exercises most from the tape in the car. Because I am a
full time student I do a lot of sitting in classes. But I will do the
tape on the way to school and on the way home. It's the perfect amount
of time and I feel so much better after I am finished. I know I have

"I ordered Level One this past mid-spring, and I honestly figured that I
was falling for just another weight loss gimmick like I have so many
times before. I had zero expectations.

helped me to move and be more agile, since I have MS and have difficulty
walking and doing exercises or standing on one leg.

YES!
Our Oxycise! "Easy Does It" Level 1 video set is a great way to learn
Oxycise!, especially if you are a senior or someone with disabilities,
or if you just prefer a more step-by-step workout at a slower pace. Jill
gives clear, step-by-step instructions for learning the breathing in the
Introductory tape. The workout is on a separate tape and is gentle and
"user friendly." Alternate reclining positions are shown for those who
are bedridden, or recovering from injuries or surgery.
Re: stomach exercises, the breathing alone is one of the best exercises
you can do for the abdominal area. If you do the breathing correctly --
deep relaxed inhales and powerful exhales -- you will be toning and
trimming your entire torso and midsection.

"My exercise wake up call came in January of 2003. My husband and I had
talked about going south for his winter birthday for 25 years. We
finally made it to Arizona and were staying in a lovely, romantic time
share with a bedroom full of wall to wall mirrors. I hadn't seen myself
in a full length mirror for seven years. What a shock followed by
humiliation. That May my youngest daughter turned 15 and on her birthday
I weighed the same amount I had weighed the day before she was born!
"We purchased the Oxycise! video through a Sunday newspaper supplement
and started breathing and stretching together. An email friend also told
me about an online Bible study for gluttons called 'The Lord's Table.'
The 60 lessons teach you how to keep your soul fat so that you're not
looking to food to meet needs that only Christ can meet. During the
study I purposed to read the Bible, pray and exercise every day for the
rest of my life. Oxycise! makes it easy to keep that commitment. I

I can do it before or after I'm dressed for the day, it's easy to do on

are reading.)

Hi Christy,
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. I just got back home after spending
Christmas in Utah with our kids. I hope you had a great Christmas!
Oxycise! is a wonderful program. Many, many people have achieved success
by using it, and all of the "Success Stories" on our website are real
letters and emails from our customers. But Oxycise! is not magic... and
it does take time and effort.
Don't beat yourself up for not being able to "stick with anything". Most
of us are in, or have been in, that same boat! Even the people who are
featured on our website have had to struggle and work in order to
achieve success. Some people "backslide" after losing weight... others
have lots of "false starts".... many people get "out of the habit" of
doing Oxycise! and find themselves having to jump "back on the wagon"
after a few months of inactivity. The important thing is to learn from
our mistakes, and never give up.
I really believe we have the power, deep within us, to overcome our own
weaknesses. We just have to figure out how to "tap in" to that inner
desire and power. And I think that our own failures can teach a lot, if
we look at them as learning experiences.
On a personal level, I also believe that we can receive extra strength
and power by turning to God for help, through prayer.
Believing that we really CAN succeed is the first step to success!
On a practical level....
Oxycise! will work best if you combine consistent daily Oxycise!
workouts with some kind of healthy eating plan. There are many good
plans.... Weight Watchers is one.... Reader's Digest "Change One" is
another. Jill offers her own ideas on nutrition in the book "Fuel for
Success", available on our website.
You can do Oxycise! alone... but if you burn up extra calories and then
take IN extra calories (by eating UNhealthy) you may tone your muscles,
but probably won't lose a lot of weight. So for best results, choose an
eating strategy that works best for YOU... one that you can LIVE with. I
would suggest that you avoid a "crash diet" or anything drastic. These
methods almost always cause an INCREASE in fat and weight in the long
run. Instead, try to make permanent healthy changes, a little at a time.
Since you have a "deadline" coming up in April (exciting!) may I suggest
the following:
If you are "game" it is possible to achieve faster results by doing
extra Oxycise! workouts. If you are willing to do 2 or 3, or even more
workouts per day, you can expect to achieve faster toning and weight
loss. Especially if you combine this with smart eating. (Don't skip
meals, eat when your body needs fuel, make healthy choices most of the
time).
Start out slow... and gradually increase your workout time. Don't go
from 15 minutes a day to an hour all at once. Give your body time to
adjust.
Jill has done as many as 4 or 5 workouts per day. She did this once in
order to take off 5 extra pounds she had gained while on vacation. She
had a filming session coming up and wanted to be in "top form", so she
did 2-3 workouts, back-to-back in the morning, with 2 more back-to-back
workouts in the afternoon. In 10 days she had lost 7 pounds and felt
very firm and toned.
[A note here -- don't rely on the scale alone for judging your progress.
Many people will see more dramatic results in toning and inch loss
rather than weight. Others will notice their clothes fitting
differently. So watch for other signs of success in addition to using
your scale. Another note: muscle weight is good weight. The goal is to
lose fat, not muscle.]
If you get bored doing just Oxycise! every day, then find a way to vary
your routine... if you like working out on your treadmill or rowing
machine, or walking--or any other exercise--go ahead and alternate your
exercises from day to day... but add some Oxycise! breathing to whatever
activity you choose to make your workout even more effective.
Many of our customers seem perfectly happy doing Oxycise! every day.
Others seem to need a variety of activities to keep them motivated about
exercise. We have customers who do Oxycise! breathing while walking,
stair-climbing, weight lifting, working out on an elliptical trainer,
cycling, etc. It's not necessary to do other kinds of exercise along
with Oxycise! -- but if you LIKE other activities go ahead and keep
doing them. (Just add some extra fat-burning oxygen -- by adding the
powerful Oxycise! Basic Breath to your activity)
Jill suggests a "Three Day Cleanse" (just fruits and vegetables) as a
great way to kick off your Oxycise! quest for success. And you can do
the "cleanse" anytime after that, whenever you feel the need.

Success" -- see link above]
Something that really inspires me is the fact that Jill doesn't follow
any daily exercise regimen other than Oxycise! She has maintained her
great shape for over 18 years by doing Oxycise! 4 or 5 times a week....
no weight lifting, no jogging, no other aerobic program. She does enjoy
hiking in the summer, and skiing in the winter-time... but she only does
those things on occasion. She gives Oxycise! all the credit for
maintaining her fitness level and figure. If Jill can do it, so can
anyone else. It's a matter of desire and daily willpower.
At first it will take real EFFORT to exercise every day. Make it the #1
item on your "To Do" list.... the "One Thing" you HAVE TO do every day!
If you can get it done first thing in the morning, all the better....
you will then enjoy a sense of accomplishment for the rest of the day!
After a few weeks you should begin to see the "fruits of your labors"
and this should motivate you to continue. When you reach the point that
your body seems to be craving Oxycise! you will know you are on the way
to real success.

*** New Year's Party Survival Tips ***
* Take the edge off your hunger by eating a small low-fat snack before
dinner, such as fresh fruit or yogurt, or before you head out the door
for a party.
* Choose lower-calorie party foods. Raw veggies with just a tiny bit of
dip, fresh fruit, etc.
* To help ensure that there will be healthy treats you could bring a
dish to the party filled with raw vegetables and a yogurt or cottage
cheese dip, or bring a platter of fresh fruit.
* Avoid wasting calories on alcoholic beverages. The average alcoholic
drink contains 150-200 calories per glass. So just 2-3 drinks can
contain the same number of calories as an entire meal!
* Make just one trip to the buffet table. Be selective. Just a small
taste can satisfy craving or curiosity.
* Pay attention to portion sizes.
* Be active and keep moving. Don't make food the focal point of all your
activities.
* Share your health and fitness goals with your friends and family. If
they understand your desire to eat more healthy, they will be less
likely to be offended when you pass up one of their high-calorie treats.

Here's something you can take with you to a New Year's party or dinner:
*** Spinach & Mushroom Salad ***
"Nice refreshing salad, Very low calorie. Eye appealing."
1. Tear or cut the spinach leaves into small pieces.
2. Toss the mushrooms with the lemon juice.
3. Place spinach in salad bowl top with mushrooms and sprinkle with
parsley.
4. Toss with Lemon-Yogurt Vinagrette (below) dressing just before
serving.
(6 servings)

*** Lemon-Yogurt Vinagrette Dressing ***
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1-1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, pressed
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup plain yogurt
pepper
1. Whisk everything together except the yogurt.
2. When well blended whisk in the yogurt.
(Makes about 1 cup)
