67 Years Young

Jane Cook is a very enthusiastic customer who has been doing Oxycise! for the past two years. She has lost 12 pounds and 15 inches, and has gone from size 12 to size 8. Having struggled with weight problems for many years in the past, she is delighted to finally be able to maintain her weight at 136 pounds. Jane reports that she has never felt better and her statistics prove it! She has a body fat percentage of 15%, blood pressure of 100/65 and a cholesterol reading of 122. But the "rest of the story" -- and the BEST part, we think, is that Jane is a very young 67!!!

OxyWalking and OxyDriving

"My husband and I just got back from a vacation in Florida. We walk several miles each day and doing the basic breath while walking was an 'unbelievable' rush! It felt like my air intake was ten times as great. Also, the car tape is fun and helps you so much while you are driving. Sometimes people look at you just a little funny. Guess they don't know what they are missing!

"I have talked to many, many people about Oxycise! because it seems like whenever you talk to someone, the conversation always gets around to weight. I do offer the web site info to them. If they are really interested in getting rid of their excess weight, they will check it out. I heard recently that 65% of American are overweight. Amazing! Thanks to you and Jill for all you do. What an amazing program."

"Oxycise! is Great!"

"I just wanted to thank you all for Oxycise! I have been doing it since May and like many of you, my results were not 'instant.' However, I got the best comment from my husband the other day so I know it's working. He actually told me my tummy was getting flatter!!! After having a baby 5 years ago and thinking I could never loose that 'pouch' that I had, I now know that I can!

"The scale is going down slowly but steadily - I've lost 8 pounds since starting so I am thrilled! And best of all, my thyroid seems to be getting back to normal!"

Thank you all so much!
Ann from Iowa

Diets and Starvation Don't Work -- Oxycise! DOES!

"I've been Oxycising fairly consistently since March of this year. In that time, one of the biggest lessons I've learned is how dieting actually does us more harm than good. Jill teaches that dieting - pills, shakes, and severe reduced-calorie programs, etc. - contributes to the "starve-gain-starve-gain even more" cycles that so many of us have experienced. After my experience in the past month, I can personally say that she is definitely 100% correct.

"I lost 21 lbs. with just Oxycise! from March until the beginning of October without changing my eating habits at all. At that time, I realized that my eating habits were getting worse since I was working many long hours. I had fallen into the pattern of no time for breakfast, no time for lunch, and then grabbing the first thing I could find when I walked in the door at night ... usually something high-calorie and not so good for me. Still, I was losing about 3 lbs. a month on Oxycise! so I wasn't too concerned at first. But then I started to wonder if I wasn't consuming too many calories and sabotaging my commitment to Oxycise.

"I decided to keep a food diary for one week to track my eating habits. Imagine my shock when I found out that I was consuming less than 800-900 calories per day, far too little to be considered healthy. My metabolism had to be at a complete standstill. I decided that I was going to make a conscious effort to consume 1,200 healthy calories a day, spread over the entire day in small portions.

"That was three weeks ago. In that time, I've gone from a 3 lb. a month to a 3 lb. a WEEK weight loss ... for a total of 30 lbs. lost since March. Between the wonderful benefits of my daily Oxycise! routine and my healthy food plan, my metabolism has kicked into gear, my energy is at an all-time high and I feel better than I have in years.

"I found out from first hand experience that dieting and/or starving yourself will sabotage any good intentions you have about losing weight and staying healthy. Anyone who wants to lose weight needs to eat and eat well ... good, healthy foods like grains, vegetables and fruits, in addition to drinking lots of water. If you treat your body like the wonderful creation it is, the results are nothing short of miraculous!"

Former Aerobics Fan was Skeptical

"Hello!
As a 42 year old mother of 2 and a long standing traditional aerobic participant, I felt compelled to share my Oxycise! experience with you. I have participated in dance aerobics and step aerobics/total body conditioning classes consistently for the past 18 years. A couple of years ago, I started gaining inches around my middle (waist, lower abs, and hips), even though I had not changed my eating or exercise habits. Many of my clothes didn't fit, and although I was frustrated, I figured the change in my waistline was due to the ' middle age spread.'

"Luckily, I happened to be flipping through the channels and caught an Oxycise! Infomercial. I was quite skeptical since I was only familiar with 'traditional' exercise programs, however, I thought I'd give it a try. I started Oxycise! in July in addition to my step classes, and within 3 months I lost a total of 6 inches from my waist, lower abs, and hips. I was thrilled. But the story doesn't stop here.

"This past February, I decided to stop attending aerobics. It was a difficult decision, but it was no longer possible to squeeze it into my schedule. This was indeed a true test for Oxycise! - would I gain back the inches I lost by using Oxycise! as my ONLY exercise program? Well, it's been 6 months and I have not gained any inches. In fact, I've lost another ½ in from my waist and ¼ inch from my lower abs and hips.

"This program WORKS, but it is not an ' easy fix.' One major point to remember is to breathe and flex like you mean it - inhale as though you're about to swim as far as you can underwater, and exhale as though you're trying to blow out candles on a cake 5 feet away. AND work those muscles! I have no trouble maintaining my target heart rate during my workouts, IF I put effort into each breath. What a great program!!"

THANK YOU, JILL!

"I hope you'll give it a try!"

Christy posted the following reply in the Message Room in response to someone who was thinking about starting the Oxycise! program:

"I started O!ing 4 months ago and have only missed maybe 2 days total since then. So, pretty much I have Oxycised at least once a day for 4 months now and have lost 5 inches from my upper abs and 5 inches from that 'pouch' of lower abs and 5.5 inches from my waistline itself! And I can feel the muscle definition in my abs now also (& everywhere else also). Believe me it works! I have every faith that if I continue to O! everyday that I will eventually be at a thin, healthy weight! It has to be gradual, I believe, for the weight to actually stay off and be toned! I hope this helps you make a decision; I know you've been pondering over this for a while. Take care and let us know how you're doing. You'll never know if O! will work for you unless you try (there is a money back guarantee). I hope you'll give it a try!"

A Routine That Fits in Her Life

Kimberly struggled with thyroid problems and weight gain for 26 years and says, "I couldn't find an exercise routine that fit into my schedule."

"My four-year-old and two-year-old children would not let me work out for 45 minutes a day even to tapes at home, so I tried Oxycise! The results have been tremendous! Because it's just fifteen minutes a day I can do it every day. Even when I do it after the children are in bed it doesn't keep me up, it only helps me sleep better! I've lost fifteen pounds in four weeks and gone from a tight 22 jeans to a loose 20. I have tremendous energy and I'm happy all the time! My diet hasn't changed because I've worked on that for many years.

"I've tried to tell my 'athletic' friends about this but they don't believe me yet. Maybe they will when I'm finished. I just feel so sorry for them, thinking about them doing all that work (jogging, weight lifting, etc.) for all that time to get more oxygen as a by-product of their exercise when it is actually the by-product that is doing all the work! I'm so glad I kept the fur coat my dad gave me in high school. My mother told me a hundred times I should just give it to her, since I would never be able to wear it again anyway. (She got a lot of my nice clothes that way). I can't wait to actually put it on and feel it. I know I will. Oxycise! has changed my life and confirmed my belief in myself! Thank God for this program and for Jill Johnson."

Kimberly adds,
"One thing I forgot to mention in my story was how much my mental acuity has improved. I used to work as a database administrator and was working on Oracle Database training at home and was getting nowhere! Since I've been doing the Oxycise! I'm zipping through the courses and retaining the information as if I were in high school!"

Help With Stress Incontinence

"Hi, Just wanted to let you know it's been one year now and the results are terrific. I have lost 12-1/2 inches and have toned up very nicely.

"One thing I have to mention is a topic I've never seen in the newsletter. I feel the reason it has never been mentioned is perhaps because of its sensitivity. I am speaking about stress incontinence. I experienced stress incontinence in my early 40's and it got worse and worse. Having three babies didn't help. The doctor suggested the Kegel exercises, but either I couldn't locate the proper muscle, or I was doing it totally wrong, in any event, that surely didn't work, so I had to resort to using panty liners for a while and when the situation got worse, I graduated to wearing a sanitary napkin every day, whether it was during my cycle or not. I couldn't enjoy fast dancing (which I love) at any wedding for fear of 'leakage.' I couldn't walk without locating the nearest bathroom and heaven help me if I roared with laughter. It was awful! I was too young for this and wouldn't even consider surgery. I felt I was destined to support the Kotex Corporation for the rest of my life.

"Then Oxycise! came along and to my surprise, it seems I'm exercising 'those' muscles because within 3 months, I noticed I had more control. The fourth month had me completely FREE of anything. I can now dance, run, laugh, jump and flip with the best of them. It's truly amazing! We all know the wonderful benefits of Oxycise! But for this special benefit alone, it is definitely worth it to me to continue, no matter what! I do Oxycise! always 5 days a week, many times 6 and sometimes 7.

"These exercises are truly a life-saver and I can't tell enough people about them. Thanks ever so much!!!"

Mom and Tristan

"Dear Jill/Oxycise newsletter:
You might get a kick out of this. My four year old, excuse me I was just corrected, four and a half year-old little boy, Tristan, is my biggest motivator and enthusiast with regards to Oxycise! He actually does it with me every night. And if I even think about skipping it he says: 'Mom! We have to do our exercises! C'mon!'

"It is an absolute riot. Just watching him trying to get into the positions is so cute. Then, when we get to the floor exercises and we're face to face (close together) and he's breathing out, we both burst out laughing together. It's a lot of fun! I bet you never thought this would be a great mother-preschooler activity!!"

Slow But Steady Progress

"I have been doing Oxycise! daily for the past four months. In addition to one video daily (have done Levels I, II, III, Upper Body and Abs, and Buns and Thighs I) I do 15 minutes in the car on my way to work. At first, I committed myself to 30 days of Oxycise! Although the pounds STILL are not coming off as fast as I'd like (8 lbs so far), I have lost 12 inches total off my measurements, which I take daily. I LOVE doing the Oxycise! I have been exercising for 20 years or more, and now I no longer go to the gym or do any other form of aerobics... I'd like to encourage others like me to PRESS ON. I had found myself getting discouraged by the fast and wonderful results that OTHERS achieve. But, all in all, comparing my measurements with MY measurements has kept me going! And I sing in my church choir, and I am now able to breathe more effectively while singing. At first, I did the breathing incorrectly. The newsletter has been very helpful to me in this regard. And, at first I had little control over my abs. Now that this has improved, I am working on taking in the three sniffs with a lot of power."

Improved Lung Capacity

"Some good news! You may remember that back on October 10, I wrote to tell you about a voldyne test I had taken that showed I was breathing in 3 to 3.25 liters of air, which according to the test from the American lung association wasn't bad for my age and height.

"However, this morning, November 29, I inhaled 3.75 to 4 liters (and more 4's than the other) of air without breaking a sweat!! In 7 weeks I have increased my lung capacity about 3/4 of a liter. That's measurable progress!!

"Gonna keep on breathing!!"

Physical and Emotional Healing

"Dear Julie,
I have been doing Oxycise! for almost a year now. I started last January after having abdominal surgery. I ordered my tape from a newspaper ad out of curiosity and thought it looked like something I could ease back into as my incision healed. At first I did it very gently but with deep breaths. I enjoyed it immediately. My surgeon commented several times on how well and quickly I was healing and I was surprised, as that has not been the case in the past. Quite the opposite, actually, whether it was a scrape or burn or a cold/virus. I continued with Oxycise!, ordering more tapes and working harder as I got back to normal. Over the months I have lost 44 pounds and have been so happy with Oxycise! that it's my only exercise regimen. I especially like the buns/thighs and abs/arms tapes. Last March I had gum grafting surgery. (I had done one of these surgeries before and knew what to expect. They would remove tissue from two long incisions in the roof of my mouth and graft that material onto my gums. A hereditary condition was making them recede even though I am only 40!) I had 32 stitches in my mouth and (like the first time) the stitches were supposed to come out after 10 days. After only 5 days I had to call my dentist because some of my stitches were loose and hanging down in my mouth. When he checked me out, he was astounded at how fast my mouth had already healed AND he went ahead and removed the rest of the 32 stitches as my wounds had already closed! Like my other doctor, he made several remarks about how well and quickly my tissues healed. Since this had not at all been the case with my first gum graft, I'm certain it's from Oxycise!

"After doing Oxycise! for many months, in October we received some bad news about a loved one and I went into a tailspin of depression. For the first time since starting, I stopped Oxycising. For about a month I was just miserable and I put weight back on, felt spongy again, overate constantly, clothes got tight and - worst of all - I couldn't shake the cycle of depression. Finally, I MADE myself start Oxycise! again because I couldn't bear the way I felt. It was hard making myself get started again but I used the trick of reminding myself that it's ONLY 15 minutes and even I can't begrudge 15 little minutes. Thank goodness I did. Right away I began to cope better. My clothes began to fit again, my overeating calmed down but, most importantly, I felt my emotional strength returning.

"Like most Americans, I am constantly in a battle with my weight and Oxycise! has naturally been a fantastic discovery for weight loss and body contouring. But I must tell you that it has been an equal, if not greater, benefit in improving my physical and emotional health. Because it's only 15 minutes long, I can almost always talk myself into doing it, even if I'm lazy or depressed or not in the mood. I ordered it on such a whim and yet it has been a tremendous gift. I am so grateful to Jill J. and all of you for your stories, newsletters and constant inspiration. You can believe I will keep on breathing!!"

Journey to Better Health -- and Back Again

"In January, after reading about it on the Internet, I ordered the Oxycise! Level One workout and introduction. I watched the tapes two or three times and then began following the program. I couldn't believe myself! I got up EVERY morning and did my fifteen minute workout. This was the most amazing change. There were others however. I immediately began losing inches and tightening up all over. My weight changed slightly but my shape changed a lot. At the time I weighed over 200 lbs and was wearing a tight size 16. Before long I was under 200 down to 192-194 or so and wearing loose size 14. There were other, less easy to record changes. I was able to get up and Oxycise! because I felt so good in the mornings. My feet, which used to hurt terribly for the first few steps to the bathroom, didn't hurt nearly as much, if at all. My lower back pain began to improve (I had ruptured a disk a few years before and was in almost constant pain).

"Probably the change that impressed me the most was my mood. It was almost as though I was on some mood enhancing drug! I was always in a good mood and felt relaxed and in control of myself. My energy level skyrocketed too and I didn't just plop on the couch when I got home in the evenings. I was feeling so good that I decided to quit smoking. Why take all that extra oxygen into my lungs every morning only to mess it up by sucking nicotine in right after??? So, I quit smoking with no aids like patches or pills. It was SOOO easy!!! I picked a day to quit and I just did it. Everyone was very impressed with my "willpower" and I couldn't make them understand that willpower had hardly anything to do with it. At this point my weight loss stopped (most likely because I had quit smoking) but at least I didn't gain like many do. Because I was feeling so energized, I decided to add to my workouts and started following a program called Body for Life, which is a combo of weight training, aerobics and a high protein eating program. I continued to do my Oxycise! in the mornings before the other workout and was really good for about 12 weeks, working out every morning 6 days a week and never missing a workout. Strangely enough I started gaining weight. I gained 11 lbs but my clothes were still getting loose, so I didn't worry too much about it. Then I joined a gym thinking that would inspire me to work out harder. I joined WW to help the process along. I lost the 11 lbs I had gained and two or three more. At this point I was doing Oxycise!, but sporadically. My routine had changed and for the life of me I couldn't get back into the old one. I went on vacation to Ireland in August and though I walked a lot I didn't do any other kind of exercise, including Oxycise! When I got back it was tough to follow any program on a regular basis. We had terribly hot weather and it sapped everyone's strength. I got mad at the leader of the WW meetings I attended and gave up going. I wasn't getting anywhere anyway. Was still Oing two or three days a week. Then came September 11th. I stopped everything. The Oxycise! message boards were out of commission so I wasn't getting inspiration from fellow O!ers. A few folks started an e-mail message board, but it wasn't the same. Anyway, to make a rather long story a bit shorter, I stopped all forms of healthy activities from then until Thanksgiving. That's almost three months of unhealthy living. I even started smoking again!!

"Finally I came to my senses and decided I simply HAD to get healthy again. I remembered how good I felt doing my Oxycise! on a daily basis and decided that would be my first step. It's been almost three weeks since I started back and Oxycise! is all I do now. I eat healthy foods (most of the time — it is the holiday season after all). One day a week I follow Jill's cleanse program by eating nothing but fruit, veggies and juice. My energy level is back and once again I have the energy to make healthy meals for my family in the evenings and get some housework done so I don't leave it all for the weekends. I've lost close to 10 lbs and my size 14 jeans are getting loose again. I can't really explain why I drifted from Oxycise! like I did. I think one of my mistakes was trying to add too much exercise to the program and Oxycise! took a back seat. My theory now is as long as I FEEL good, that's really all that matters. Losing the weight is important, really important to me, but feeling good about myself is even more important. I've realized that now and will hopefully never make the same mistake again. Oxycise! is more than just an exercise program or a way to lose weight and inches — Oxycise! is almost like an elixir of life — Boy does that sound weird, but that's the way it feels to me, anyway. It enhances everything I do. By the way, I quit smoking again."

Holiday Stress Release

"Hi!
I just wanted to let you know that during the busy holidays, with all the shopping, work, preparing for get-togethers, I found myself racing -- mentally and physically. But one day several weeks ago, I found that I could totally relax by Oxycise! breathing. I was in my car and found my mind was racing and that I was speeding, so I took a deep breath in, and a very deep breath out, and my system relaxed. I've used this a number of times during these months of planning and preparations, and I found if one breath wasn't enough, two or three did nicely. It was great!

"Maybe everyone's written you about this, but I wanted to let you know that I am thankful for your Oxycise! program, and for your newsletters.

"May you all have a wonderful holiday season, and a very prosperous New Year!"

Not Afraid to Look in the Mirror Now

"I'd like to report that I feel that after (actually long before now) a year plus of Oxycising, I no longer feel or look 'frumpy.'  I lost 40 pounds and various health 'afflictions' and continue to amaze customers in the store where I work that haven't seen me for awhile. (That's a great source of encouragement now as I stick with my maintenance phase.) The 'Oxycise Movement' spread like wildfire at church after I was questioned on my improved appearance and many have gotten on the program themselves...

"In a previous email, I wrote that my goal was to get down to a size 8 where I was as a young adult. I've been there awhile, and it's been nice not to be afraid to look in the mirror or to go clothes shopping!

"Your program has been a godsend, as I have been able to continue with it daily and maintain good health with such minimal commitment timewise and dietwise."
