Husband and Wife Oxycise! Together!

"I have been a faithful Oxyciser for three years. My husband has been on and off even though Oxycise! has worked for him. Go figure! Well...a few months back during his annual physical, his blood sugar was well above normal. His doctor told him to come back in six months and to lose 10 pounds (or else.) Since that time, my husband has been doing Oxycise! faithfully. I Oxycise! every day and so I encourage him as much as I can to get his 15 minutes done when he comes home from work and I actually do several reps with him for my own good. Actually, I don't have to say anything to him at all....he starts his routine on his own. I am happy to report that this week he returned for his follow-up visit and he lost his 10 pounds and his blood sugar was "significantly" reduced. He goes back in 3 months for another follow-up. I AM VERY PROUD OF HIM. Oh, his doctor challenged him again to lose another 10 pounds before his next visit! I'll let you know...

"I do love Oxycise and it has been such a blessing to me. When people compliment me on how good I look, I tell them about Oxycise! and they sort of get a glaze over their eyes. I think maybe it seems too simple to them that breathing can help you lose weight and inches. One thing that I do to help me remember Oxycise! is to put it on my kitchen table. "I am very excited about the Oxycise! program. I have always fought a weight problem and have taken blood pressure medicine for years. But, when my doctor told me during my last physical that my blood sugar test was 165 (80 to 130 is normal), I knew I had to do something about it. He challenged me to lose 10 pounds. I began to Oxycise! every day and 90 days later had lost the 10 pounds. My blood sugar reading dropped to 126. I am on my second 10 pounds now and will stay with it until I am at my goal weight. The alternative would be diabetes and the problems that go with that. I can only encourage other husbands to try Oxycise! It is very easy and only takes about fifteen to twenty minutes each day. Mary and I often do our Oxycise! routine together. She looks great and that further encourages me. I want to be with her for many more years to come, so I plan on Oxycising from now on."

"Hi Julie,
I really just wanted to pass on my experience with Oxycise! in hopes that it would encourage others to not give up! As you may remember, I severely sprained my ankle back in August and was unable to do my Oxycise! routine (I was on Level 3). I was able, however, to do the breathing part while sitting on my couch and keeping track of my reps. I also added in some pec presses, pulls and arm reaches. I was able to put all my energy into the breathing technique and really get it perfected. Eventually, I was able to do the standing and some floor positions. I am slowly working my way back to the full routine.

"I found out for myself how important healthier eating is if you want to see great results. For a long time, I stubbornly refused to give up my favorite snacks which included ice cream and potato chips. However, I was still getting some other great results from Oxycise! My energy improved and I was sleeping better, but I did not notice any weight or inch loss. I finally wised up and cut out the daily ice cream and chip fix and have felt my clothes getting much roomier. I recently had a medical checkup and my weight was up. I was excited about it, can you believe it! I knew that the weight gain was due to increased muscle, which means all that fat doesn't stand a chance! I don't want people to be discouraged by weight gain when they are Oxycising regularly. It just means that they are building lots of fat-burning muscle.

"Also, I want to encourage people who may be unable to do a full Oxycise! routine because of a physical issue, such as my sprained ankle. You don't have to do the complete routine to get the benefits. Do whatever positions you can. If you can only do the breathing (along with the tummy Lift/bun tightening), you're doing a great thing for your body. In fact, I recommend practicing just doing that part of Oxycise! every day for a week or so in order to really make sure you've got it down pat. Follow along with Jill in the videos as she explains the breathing technique. Then, if you want, breathe along with the workout and do whatever positions you can. I used the list of positions that comes with each video to keep track of my reps (they're great when you are traveling, too).

By the way, just in the first few days of the "breathing only", I felt a difference in the way my clothes fit. I think it is so important for people when they first start Oxycise! to really get the breathing right before they add the positions. It will make a huge difference."

"Have been doing 'Easy Does It' Level One since March. Have lost 26 lbs and a total of 18 inches overall. I do Oxycise! twice a day and walk 1 mile at the mall 3 times a week. I am 79 years old and feel great. I would recommend Oxycise! to any senior person . I have Level Two and will be starting it in Jan. Please note I haven't changed my eating habits."

"Dear Jill,
I was down for the count. I broke my ankle in three places and had a steel plate put in. After 1 year, I still couldn't walk like I used to. I gained 30 plus pounds. In the meantime, I had a problem with my neck which also prohibited me from lifting weights. What a great way to face turning 50. But it gets better...I then started to get hot flashes and night sweats.

"I had the Oxycise! tapes from before, but the positions were not good for my leg. I called to see if you had created any others. They told me about the 'Easy Does It' Series. I started using the first level. The second day, I noticed I slept through the night. It was a deep wonderful sleep. In 3 days, my skin, which has always been good, turned flawless. In 5 days, my hot flashes were reduced almost 95%. I started to weigh myself, but saw no change, so I stopped getting on the scale. My ankle, which would be painful at the end of the day, stopped aching. I thought it might not be connected to the Oxycise! exercises, and when I stopped for two days, the pain came back. The pain stopped the next time I did the exercises.

"I have been discouraged, but your newsletters are wonderful. They kept me going. I haven't measured myself, but because of the encouragement from the newsletter, will start. In the meantime, after 14 sessions, two pairs of pants I used to wear are so big I can't wear them anymore. Another pair are loose. I really want to fit into my former clothes. I just hope I keep on shrinking. I do want to hear from people on how they are doing. It is very encouraging. I didn't connect my ankle with the Oxy exercises, until I read about a women with knee problems."

Just wanted to report that I have been doing Oxycise! faithfully, for over 3 months. Everywhere I go people are asking me how much weight I have lost and I actually have not lost any pounds, just inches. The other day someone I hadn't seen in awhile asked me if I had a face lift.

"Hello,
I started the Oxycise! program almost a year ago. I started doing level 1 and am now up to level 3. I plan to start doing level 4 very soon. I often rotate the tapes and that seems to keep all my muscles in use. I do one of the levels every day except Sunday. I just can't do without my Oxycising!!! Since I have been on the Oxycise! program, my muscles have firmed as if I were 20 years younger. I am 57 years old. I look forward to it every morning. The deep breathing, flexing and stretching wake me up and I'm ready for the day. I haven't lost any weight because I am a small person to begin with. But I was very flabby because of my age. Now I have muscles that I didn't even have when I was younger. My husband is always commenting on how firm and tight my body is now!!! By the way, my husband also does the Oxycise! with me when he can. He also loves it. Another thing about the Oxycising is the mental wellbeing it gives me every day. The extra oxygen I get seems to give me a natural high. I just can't say enough about how great I feel. Thank you Jill for the wonderful Oxycise! program."

"Seven weeks ago I had major abdominal surgery and was hospitalized for 6 days. Two weeks after my surgery my pain had diminished considerably but I was extremely weak and tired and, naturally couldn't do any exercise so I decided to Oxycise! to see if it would help me. Now I'm going to sound like a commercial. I did the Level 1 workout very carefully and gently to make sure I didn't hurt anything and was amazed that immediately after my workout I felt some energy returning, so I continued to Oxycise! every day thereafter. Here is what happened. My abdomen was quite swollen from the surgery and within two weeks the swelling went down considerably, my energy level was back to normal at 4 weeks after the surgery (after 2 week of doing the Oxycise! workout), and best of all I have lost an additional inch off my waist and hips and have amazing energy.

"I had a baby four months ago and since the third trimester and until now my knees hurt every time I had to get up. I was told I had to exercise more to get the blood pumping. Well I was walking 2 miles every other day and it wasn't doing anything for me. I decided to start Oxycise! since it's a lot easier to do and it only takes 15 minutes out of my day.

"I felt great emotionally right away but wasn't noticing any extreme difference in my weight loss. A week and a half later...I noticed my knees stopped hurting. I couldn't believe it! My doctor couldn't even figure out why they were hurting in the first place and when I had them X-rayed, there was no sign of arthritis.

After one year of doing Oxycise! daily, it is time for me to thank you once again for providing anyone who is interested in a stronger body and better health, an exercise routine that is doable. I had tried other exercise videos over the years, but seldom plugged them in more than once. Mostly, they were too long, too hard, too silly, designed for dancers and acrobats who are very limber, or just plain too Hollywood.

Subject: Summer's coming!

"Once again, I look in the mirror and see pooches and bulges that can be hidden with sweatshirts but will not look good bulging out of summer tops and shorts.

"A little over a year ago I got serious with Oxycise! and lost 35 pounds and several inches. I went from size 16 to 12, and even some 10's. I felt great. For whatever reason, I stopped Oxycising. I've gained back 14 pounds and have less energy, get stressed more easily, don't sleep as well and feel yucky in general. With all of these benefits, I have no clue as to why I can't convince myself to spend 15 simple minutes doing something that makes me feel so good.

"Thank goodness for the newsletter. I read it every week and it kept me reminded of the benefits and others' successes.

"As of the first of February I have re-dedicated myself to getting those 14 pounds back off and making Oxycise! part of my life, just like brushing my teeth.

"It is often mentioned that an Oxycise! workout doesn't have to be done all at one time, so I got 30 craft beads and put them in a basket. I use them to keep track of how many Oxy-breaths I have done (I have many positions memorized that are my favorites). I do 20 reps before I go to work and the other 10 when I get home from work. The reps in the morning get me pumped up to start my day and the 10 reps after work rejuvenate me from my day at the office and gives me the energy to do a few things around the house rather than plopping down in front of the TV.

I thought it would be fun to get to know Susan better.

Susan says she sometimes alternates her Oxycise! workouts with riding a stationary bike. And she is following the Weight Watchers eating plan. Here's her whole story:

"I have the Oxycise! tapes 1-4, Buns & Thighs 1 & 2 and Abs and Upper Body. I do Oxycise! about 6-7 times a week. I am a typical stay-at-home mom with two kids under two, so I have very little time to work out. I do Oxycise! in the evenings after the kids go to bed and love the fact that I can do it without working up a sweat and requiring a shower. I also love that my time commitment is about 20 minutes."

"I have had the Oxycise! tapes for a few years and would start them (and always have pretty great results the first 2 weeks or so) but then I was never really committed to doing them full time and would stop. I started doing them this time around because I had 105 lbs to lose and knew I really needed to build and shape muscle to be successful. I also have had 2 babies in the last 2 1/2 years and my tummy muscles are pretty out of shape. I knew Oxycise! really helps tone those and quick! (I lost 1 inch off of my waist and 2 off my hips my very first week doing Oxycise!)

"I also have had bad hip problems during both my pregnancies (pubic bone separation) and afterwards. I started seeing a chiropractor soon after my son was born last year and while his adjustments helped, my hips just wouldn't stay in alignment. After starting Oxycise!, my hips have been so much better. I can sleep at night without pain, and even though I still need an adjustment about once a month, I don't need to take Advil or Tylenol every day like I did.

"I am a big fan of Oxycise! because it is so convenient. I wouldn't say it is easy, though - if it is done correctly it is a really tough workout and my muscles know they have done some work the next day. When I choose to ride my stationary bike instead of doing Oxycise! it is usually because I feel lazy and don't want to work that hard!"

"So far I've only lost 25lbs and have 80 to go, but am planning to stick with it! :-)

"I am still very delighted with the Oxycise! program. I was sidetracked with a health problem for awhile but am back to doing my O's. I have lost 35 pounds. I am now totally in my normal weight range. My doctor was delighted with that since he had asked me if I wanted 3 or 6 months to get the weight off. Six months worked. My cholesterol went down 65 points just by losing weight and doing Oxycise! Jill's book 'Fuel for Success' is a wonderful help. I just received my order of Oxycise! Level 3 and Level 4. I am looking forward to doing those too after watching the instructions on them. It will be great to alternate these videos with Level 1 and Level 2 for the exercises.

"I still haven't taken any pictures of 'after.' Big change since the 'before' pictures, though. Will have to get going on that for you.
