A young man was talking to a friend about making a decision in his life: whether or not he should pursue a doctoral degree after college.
“I would really enjoy the challenge of becoming an expert in this field,” he told his friend. “Obtaining this degree would bring great job opportunities for the future. It would really be wonderful to achieve this goal.”
“But,” he continued, “the thing that really bothers me is this — I’m 30 years old; If I go to graduate school, it’ll take me four years to finish — I’ll be 34 before I get my degree!”
His friend thought for a moment, then responded, “Well, in four years you’re STILL going to be 34 — whether you get the degree or not!”
(Sometimes it helps to look at things in a new way, doesn’t it!)
We may be guilty of making the same error in our thinking. We may think it isn’t worth it to pursue a goal just because of the TIME it might take to reach that goal. When it comes to losing weight or improving our health, we may feel that we are faced with an insurmountable task! We might look at the changes we want to make in our bodies — or the number of pounds we need to lose — and feel totally overwhelmed! Perhaps we use the excuse, “I’m just not even going to try; It will take me too long to reach that goal!”
So we decide not to make ANY changes! (Does that really make sense?)
Oxycise! isn’t magic, but it really does work if you do it! And whether it takes three months or six months…or a year…or even longer to reach your goal…the time is going to pass anyway! The question is: what are WE going to do with the time?
Is it better to be in the same physical condition in six months, or a year, or five years — or possibly WORSE condition? Or would it be better to make small, daily changes that will result in BIG changes over a period of time?
Gail shared, “I think it’s important for everyone to know that you can accomplish your goals, just don’t expect miracles to happen overnight. It took me 7 months to lose 39 lbs. and 38.5″, but I know that those pounds and inches won’t be coming back.”
What kind of body will you have in six months? …a year? …five years?
For a small investment of only 15 minutes a day, you can begin TODAY and totally change your life “down the road.” Think about it!
