We know that Oxycise! works when the proper techniques are followed. So when customers write to us saying they are not seeing results – or not seeing results as quickly as they would LIKE to, we usually suspect one of several possible problems.
The most common problem of all is improper breathing. Taking in LOTS of air is the single most important part of Oxycise! Some customers simply aren’t doing this and others really don’t know HOW to breathe deeply.
Here’s some advice for those in the first group:
Relax your abs with each inhale in order to fill your lungs completely. Don’t try to be too feminine and don’t be “wimpy” — Breathe with GUSTO! Use your abdominal muscles to help push the air out!
In the second group are people who have been practicing shallow breathing for so many years that they don’t even realize it. We refer to these people as “chest breathers”. They breathe with only the top portion of their lungs – using only a fraction of their lung capacity. They literally have to RE-LEARN how to breathe properly by fully inflating their lungs with each breath.
Try the following exercise to test your breathing technique. Lay on your back on the floor; This position will encourage you to use your diaphragm when you breathe. Breathe in and out deeply several times and analyze what happens. When you inhale, your abdomen should rise as your lungs expand. When you exhale, the motion will reverse. Your chest and shoulders should move very little.
Doesn’t it feel GREAT to give your body lots of oxygen?
Filling your lungs with this volume of air may be a new sensation for you. You may even notice new pains in your chest and back for the first few days as the muscles between your ribs expand for the first time in many years!
As you practice breathing deeply, and as you incorporate these techniques into the Oxycise! Basic Breath, you are well on your way to success!
Keep on Breathing!
