It has helped me maintain my high school size 6
“I have been using oxycise all these years and love it. The first week I used oxycise I lost 5 1/2 “ and lost 1% body fat. And that is after 5 months running 5 miles every other day and using The Firm workouts that guarantee results in 10 workouts. I gained an inch in my stomach on their workout.
“Ever since then I have been hooked. It gives me energy and a little muscle, which is hard for me to get. It’s helped me maintain my high school weight with in 5 lbs. Has kept my Rheumatoid Arthritis at bay and off of prescriptions. It has helped me maintain my high school size 6 even after age 45 which gets harder.
“I always breathe when I travel (we travel a lot) before breakfast and always helps me not gain weight on cruises even eating fun food. I do other exercise yoga and pickleball but I never leave oxycise behind always keep it in my weekly routine and bump it up when needed.
“I tell a lot of friends about oxycise. My friend with MS it helped her lose 50 lbs. and keep her symptoms at bay and off medications.
“I am a Oxycise Fan!”
Tami also shared what a treat it was to go on vacation with her family to Hawaii and not have to worry about cellulite anymore, especially during menopause!
I simply still don’t believe it. I lost 6 inches!!
“Dear Jill,
“I can’t thank you enough for making the feeling of ‘welcome’ come through in your book, on the website and in every way possible. Instead of a ‘program’, it makes it feel more like a family, a united effort, and the backup is so strengthening. I really didn’t go into Oxycise! to lose weight. I am very overweight, am 64 lacking one month, have severe arthritis in the hips ….but, like everyone else, been there and done that. I’m a real diet expert! So I knew Oxycise! couldn’t do what nothing else has, and they all say they are the ultimate way, etc. but I knew I needed to learn to deep breathe. We used to walk regularly and that helped, but since I’ve not been able to do that much of it, I just can’t stand it. So even against my husband’s wishes (something I never do, we’re always united in such things) I sent for Oxycise!
“I was so excited…and couldn’t believe how hard it was to just get in the habit of breathing! It took me about a week to even be able to do it. And then of course, I really couldn’t do very many reps when I did learn, but after going to the website and I do appreciate those who have shown pictures and told their story because it helped me. Especially the lady, I forget the name, that only did it sitting in a recliner. So with embarrassment, I did take my measurements, but I simply did not believe it, since I couldn’t do the exercises or even that much breathing! When the scales showed a 3 lb. loss, I simply did not believe that either, although I knew there certainly had been no dieting done this past week! They say seeing is believing, but I simply still don’t believe it. I lost 6 inches!! And I only do 15 reps a day…
“I’m so thrilled I tell everybody and I tell them, ‘I really don’t believe it, so be sure and tell me what happens to you.’ Is that why you make us so welcome to come to you?! It’s just too wonderful, isn’t it. Thank you so much.”
This is the only exercise program I have ever stuck with
“I injured my shoulder about 3 years ago. Several times…in the same spot. I fell and hit it several times. I could not raise my arm because it hurt so much and was very stiff. When I first began to Oxycise! I would have to lift my right arm with my other hand, if I was doing a position that required raising that arm. If I reached for anything in my cupboard I would have to put my left hand on my right elbow and help that arm down or I would drop whatever I was retrieving.
“After about two weeks of Oxycising, I could move my right arm up and down with no pain. This was no fluke and no coincidence. It was great to move my arm up and down after three years of not being able to do it. I have had no problems for a year now, since I have been Oxycising, but as I mentioned before, I was very surprised when it started stiffening up again and hurting after several days of no Oxycising. It only took 2 or three days for it to feel good again. I am almost 65 and have osteoarthritis. When my legs are sore or stiff and my back hurts I find that if I Oxycise! a little extra it really helps.
“Sure it’s work, but it is sure worth it. I don’t understand why people are so slow to try this when someone who has experienced the benefits tells about it. I am so skeptical about so many things, but I have proven this to be good for me in more ways than one.”
Update 6 years later:
“Thank you so much for the newsletter. I have been doing the Oxycise program for a few years now and it really helps me with flexibility etc. I am 70 years old and this program helps me so much. I vary between Levels 1 and 4…also the abs and arm tape.
“Not only am I 70 years old and do 5 levels of Oxycise, but I have atrial fibrillation. Of course people should check with their doctor first, but it has not affected my heart at all. In fact there have been times when it has actually stopped an episode of A.F.
“Sometimes when I haven’t been able to sleep at night, I will get up and do one of the tapes, then go back to bed to go right to sleep. This is the only exercise program I have ever stuck with and I have started many and quit after a few months.”
Still at it another 8 years later:
“I have not posted on the board for quite a while, but am still oxycising. Thank you for the newsletters. I am 78 years old. I feel a lot better if I Oxycise on a consistent basis.
“I had tried several other types but didn’t experience the same results. I did some aerobics and then would do some strength excersises. Well….Oxycise gives me both. So I stuck with it.
“It’s the only exercise I have been able to stick with through the years. I find it keeps me more limber than I would be otherwise at my age since I do have osteoarthritis. If my B/P is too high, I will Oxycise…then take my B/P and it will have come down several points. I am plagued with anxiety attacks from time to time….so my next ‘trial’ is when I feel an anxiety attack coming on…Oxycise and see if it can be avoided. I highly recommend it.”
I look trimmer, my jeans are a little looser, and I feel more energetic!
I have had the ‘Easy Does It‘ starter set for about a month and recently received the Levels 2 and 3 tapes to provide me with a little variety.
I weigh 140 lbs. and am 5’6″ tall with very good carriage. I’m not looking to lose much, because I think at age 82, I am at my best fighting weight. Have never thought scrawny old ladies were particularly attractive.
My arthritic knees decided about 6 years ago that I should stop my Jazzercise classes. If I hadn’t had my yoga (been doing it for over 45 years and still attend two classes a week) to fall back on, I may have really gone to pot (small play on words there!). I’ve always used deep yoga breathing to get that oxygen in and to help me sleep, but it’s not as energetic as your method.
Having said that, may I now say that after doing Oxycise! for a few weeks, I am beginning to notice a definite tightening of the areas that needed it. No, I’m sorry, I haven’t been measuring, but I look trimmer, my jeans are a little looser, and I do feel more energetic!
For some of the stretching positions, I have been substituting yoga postures that I feel best utilize the areas of my body that I want to tone. And I love the commuter routine! I visit a shut-in friend about once a week, and she lives 20 minutes away, so I get two of its workouts on those days!!….
You’re more than welcome to use my email if you’d like. I’m hoping in the next several months to have more exciting news to share. Fortunately I have a healthy heart and my blood pressure is fine. It’s just my knees ….. after all that jitter-bugging I did!!
I’m not a small woman (a comfortable size 14), and have never had a protruding tummy. I’m well proportioned, have excellent posture, but have noticed recently that I was getting a little thicker around the middle. I’m certain that Oxycise! is going to take care of that!
BTW about 7 or 8 months ago I was introduced to a bit of incontinence. For some reason, I also had a little difficulty in remembering to do my Kegel exercises daily. Now I simply incorporate them in the ‘lift and tuck’ and Bingo! …. better bladder control!
In these three ‘Easy Does It’ tapes, after I learned the routine, instead of just waiting to start, while Jill explains the position, I go ahead and sneak in a couple of extra breaths. I’m sure I do at least 40 reps per tape! And it’s so easy to do just the diaphragmatic breathing at any time or any place!”
Happy breathing to us all,
I have had trouble losing weight and finding an exercise I can do
“I’m 74 and have arthritis and have had trouble losing weight and finding an exercise I can do. I water walk three times a week and have regularly done ‘Easy Does It’ Oxycise! since May. I’ve really been watching what I eat and have lost 22 pounds and now weigh 120, which the doctor says is my ideal weight. My whole body is in much better shape – especially my stomach and hips (although I’m still working on them). I’ll keep on both with Oxycise! and maintaining my weight. I don’t want to gain that 22 pounds back.
“I really appreciate the ‘Easy Does It’ Oxycise! because it doesn’t hurt and is exercise I can do regularly with arthritis.
“I have something to suggest that works for me: I got two bowls and 30 marbles. During the day as I do four reps of Oxycise!, I move a marble from one bowl over to the other bowl. It’s surprising how fast they add up. Maybe I’m playing a game on the computer and when it’s not my turn I’ll do one or two reps; if I do some reps in the pool, I move the marbles over when I get home; in the morning when I go out to get the paper (in the fresh morning air); in the shower. I could go on and on. It’s amazing many reps can be done without hardly know it.. I guess I’ve memorized all the ‘Easy Does It’ moves and have no trouble remembering them so my body gets a full work out every day.
“It’s too bad more seniors don’t know about Jill and the ‘Easy Does it’ Oxycise!”
The improvement has been remarkable
“I am a very healthy 71, but I need to lose 20 lb…”
“I am very happy to report a 4-1/2 inch loss, along with 1-1/2 pounds.
“I enjoy doing Oxycise!, which is something I have never said before about any other kind of exercise. And I have done many different types.”
Hugs,
Margarete
Margarete’s One-year Progress Report:
“Thanks for your interest. I’ve been doing Oxycise for a year now. The results I have received are:
1. Much more strength, especially in my arms.
2. Much more flexibility, especially in my hip joints, which had begun to bother me. And in my shoulders. At first I didn’t want to do your exercises for shoulder strength, but I made myself do them as best as I could. I still don’t have as much flexibility as I would like, i.e., when I was younger, but the improvement has been remarkable.
“Also, I do the neck flexibility exercises which a chiropractor gave me, which has helped tremendously with arthritis pains that had begun in my neck, and also in my right shoulder.
“As far as weight loss, I found that at my age I had to cut back on starches and sweets, and I have lost 15 pounds. And, of course, the inches have gone down, too, and I can wear a size 14 now.
“All in all, I am delighted with Oxycise! Not only do they help me with strength and flexibility, but I feel so virtuous when I do them, which helps my self-esteem a lot.
“I guess the hardest part was scheduling Oxycise!, even though I don’t work now, I had the usual reluctance to exercise. So my plan was, I had to Oxycise! before breakfast, no matter how long I dithered around with drinking coffee (one cup) and reading the papers. And I just walked over to the VCR and started the tape. No big deal!
“Thanks again, you guys.”
My face looks like it did when I graduated high school twenty-some years ago
“I’ve only had the videos for a little under four weeks now…my face looks like it did when I graduated high school twenty-some years ago (to the dismay of the cheerleader I ran into the other day :0). My muscles don’t cramp like they used to, and when they do, I find that the basic breath makes the cramp go away immediately. My arthritis doesn’t bother me much, even with the spring weather. I don’t ‘purr’ when I take a deep breath, anymore. AND, I feel different. I don’t mean ‘alive’ and ‘Energetic,’ although I do feel that, too–I mean when I poke around on my body, it feels different. Even my stubborn hips and lower abdominal (I hesitate to say) muscles. I feel harder, firmer. I am assuming this is muscle. (Would someone PLEASE confirm this for me?) Like you, I haven’t made many changes in my diet–meaning some days I eat right and some days I lose my head completely. So who knows? If I had watched what I ate during the past three weeks (darn those chicken livers, anyway) maybe I WOULD have lost 15 inches instead of 7 or 8? I made the choice. But when I ordered the videos, I promised myself I would do them faithfully for 2 months and then evaluate the results or lack thereof. And you know what? I’ve already made my decision. If you FEEL that much better after doing something, it is worthwhile. (Unless it’s illegal.)”
I never want to lose this feeling
“As an ACE certified fitness instructor who has taught up to 9 classes a week for over 12 years, I can tell you that Oxycise! works as well, if not better, than most ‘traditional’ aerobic workouts. When done properly, the Oxycise! breathing technique forces much more oxygen into the body than jumping around on steps, or floors. HDL cholesterol is the good cholesterol in our bodies which helps to rid our bodies of the LDL cholesterol. HDL is only increased through aerobic exercise. My HDL cholesterol is now 72, which is very good, and when I was teaching 9 classes/week my HDL was 61. For it to increase by 11 points is incredible and Oxycise! is the only aerobic exercise I have been doing for the past two years. Oxycise!’s abdominal tightening technique has also healed my “recti-split” that was caused by having two very large babies. I was never able to heal my “recti-split” with traditional abdominal work. I have also lost 12 pounds and kept it off in these last two years. Oxycise! energizes me much more than all those aerobic classes did and it has also controlled by rheumatoid arthritis. I have not had a bad flare-up since I have been Oxycising.
“‘Aerobic’ means ‘with oxygen’ and in order to burn fat a lot of oxygen must be present. In traditional aerobic classes, you don’t even start burning fat until about 12 minutes into the workout because you are increasing your oxygen intake at a very slow pace initially. And many people work at a much higher level than they should and end up working anaerobically, thus causing a shortage of oxygen and consequently not burning fat. Good luck to all of you who are making Oxycise! work for you. It can and it will work for everyone IF DONE PROPERLY.
“If this program didn’t work, I would have gone back to traditional aerobics a long time ago. Doing Oxycise! keeps me in good shape and allows me to be there for my family. They are the most important thing in my life right now and I am glad I don’t have to run off to the gym several times a week to work out. This program has been the greatest thing that has happened to me in the way of fitness since ‘sliced (whole wheat) bread’…”
Update from Sue:
“I participated in Jill’s infomercial and have always known that Oxycise is the best exercise to increase the quality of my life that I have ever experienced. I have done many other workouts, and taught for 12 years as a fitness instructor. I eat very healthy and walk my dogs almost every day but the weight doesn’t come off until I get serious about Oxycise.
“I recently gained weight and actually bought some larger clothes because mine were getting tight. I was so mad at myself, I promised myself I’d do oxycise every morning no matter what. Well, it’s only been about 3 weeks since I’ve been working out every morning and I’ve already lost at least 7 pounds and all the larger sized clothes I bought are too big and I’m back in some things I almost got rid of because they were so tight.
“I don’t know why I ever stop doing Oxycise. I know it works and I feel and look so much better when I’m consistent with the program. My muscle tone is coming back strong and I just feel great. I never want to lose this feeling and even when I was going to a gym working out 1.5 hours a day for 4 days a week I didn’t get these results. And this is just working out 20 minutes a day. Just amazing. Love it.”
I look like a different person
“I have been doing the Oxycise Level 1 for nearly two years now. I recently ordered the Level 2 and mentioned my success with the Oxycise! program to the kind woman at your Colorado office. I’m afraid I didn’t catch her name. But she encouraged me to contact you and share my story.
“I am a 49 year old male with Systemic Lupus. It struck me when I turned 40. I’ll spare you the long story, but it changed my life drastically. In fact, it nearly killed me before the doctors were able to come up with a diagnosis and thus treat the disease. For years I languished under heavy medication, particularly steroids. If you know about steroids you probably know that they have a bloating effect and increase the appetite. And the symptoms of lupus include arthritis so any kind of exercise was pretty much out of the question. Needless to say, I got huge. My bone density decreased. I was terribly fatigued. Cholesterol and blood pressure increased to the point where I had to take extra meds to keep them in check. I was a slave to dozens of pills a day.
“I had done some breathwork in the past and was a believer in Yoga. But not an avid practitioner. When I saw an ad for Oxycise!, I thought it made sense and I’d give it a try. After a week or two I noticed a slight drop in weight. After a month, I knew I was on to something. I kept up with it daily and it became such a joy to watch the pounds drop. It was only about 3lbs. a month, but I knew that a slow loss could mean a slow regain if I for some reason would stop. I lost 35 lbs. last year. I look like a different person. My blood pressure plummeted which I consider a direct result of Oxycise! I’m no longer on BP meds. My cholesterol also dropped significantly, whether it had to do with Oxycise! I’m not sure, but the loss of weight probably helped. That plus a newfound conscientiousness about overall health, such as eating better. My energy level has increased. Just doing the Oxycise! is uplifting. I still have lupus and its symptoms, am still on several drugs – there’s no cure for that I’m afraid. But what Oxycise! has done for me could help other lupus patients.
“I would like to the spread the word about Oxycise! in the Lupus community … Please pass this along to whom it may concern. I’m anxious to receive my level two video. I got an e-mail that it is on its way. Also, thank you for putting on the newsletter list. I wish I’d known about it in the past.”
Every-day walking is a challenge for me and traditional exercise is a no-go
“I’ve been doing Oxycise! off and on (mostly off) since the workouts first came out on VHS tapes. I did very well then and wish I’d never stopped, but life, children, and a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis got in the way.
“Before I stopped, I was still able to do Oxycise! with MS, but have since progressed some with the disease and have developed very arthritic knees. Every-day walking is a challenge for me and traditional exercise is a no-go. (I did nothing much more than sit in my recliner or sleep for several years and the results were a huge weight gain and even more sluggishness.) I started a weight loss journey 14 months ago and hit a plateau after the first 6 months that lasted for the next 8 months.
“I decided to take the 3 month O! Challenge that began on January 1st to try to get things moving again. I faithfully did at least one workout every single day, and often was able to do two (after the first month of getting used to it again). But I’m not able to do them as they are presented. There is no getting down on the floor for me and even sitting in a straight-back chair to exercise is hard to do. I do every bit of my O! standing up. My only equipment is a chair to hold onto and the ceiling fan about halfway through.
“After meeting and completing the 3 month challenge, I’m down 8 pounds and 10.5 inches from 6 places I measure:
Bust – 1.5
Waist – 1.5
Hips – 3.5!!!!
Thighs – 1 inch each
Calfs – 1 inch each
“I have almost all of the DVD’s and know all of the positions on them. So I follow along with Jill or Aubrey when they’re doing the positions I’m able to do, then I substitute and modify the other positions with ones I know from other workouts. And it still works!!! My 3 month results are proof of that! How much better would the results be if I could get on the floor and bend and flex my legs into even more positions? I don’t know. But I’m very happy with what I AM able to do and the benefits I’m reaping.
“I plan to keep this streak going. I feel too much better overall to stop now!”
I Love Oxycise!
Hello Everyone,
My name is Belinda Hudson, and “I Love Oxycise!” I have ever since I saw it debut on QVC in 1997, I just knew something was different about it! That is just my beginning!
When I got my Level 1 with Jill, I had already been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. But no matter the pain ups and down I was experiencing, I was falling in love with Oxycise!!
As time passed and my body allowed, I continued to slowly add in more levels with time; Level 2, 3, 4 — and even Buns & Thighs 1 and Abs & Upper Body. ( I was getting close for Buns & Thighs 2)
My flexibility was becoming more amazing to me as each tape passed! I love to go around and put my leg up on high objects just to challenge myself and really see how far I was coming. Some of the places I used were a little odd, but I just didn’t care! Ha! But I was getting flexibility I did not even has as a child growing up.
There were days when I got in the higher levels, I would mix and match and do two tapes a day — I love to get that “Breathing Feeling!” Ha! Sometimes I would think to myself, “Am I becoming an Oxycise addict or what??”
I had a lot of outside stress matters to deal with during my journey. That can slow the body down when it’s on stress overload, but I continued to pump in that oxygen!!
I admit it, I did not finish my journey, but I still experienced a 200 lb weights loss! Now you may wonder what stopped me or why? Well, that’s where it gets more intense!
I already had fibromyalgia…well here comes what things happen next…
I lost my thyroid in a 7.5 hr surgery, and believe me, anyone with thyroid issues knows — it will fight the scale, whether you have one or not. It’s all about keeping your numbers balanced then.
I was diagnosed with the disease of multiple sclerosis. If anyone reading this has MS, they know what it can be like living with that monster. I also have osteoarthritis. It has its own mind too, I’m sure anyone with arthritis understands that!
Last, but not least, I’m an 8 yr cancer survivor. I had a bilateral mastectomy, removal of both breasts. I’ve been through chemotherapy and radiation due to that. But the Lord blessed my husband and me as we went through that journey together. (I’m happily married for 30+ years.)
Needless to say, a lot has happened since my Oxycise time years, but it has NEVER left my heart! It took me about 10 yrs to lose my 200 lbs. I know losing weight slower makes it stay off best, but my long length of time had nothing to do with the capabilities of Oxycise; it was all about how bad off I was in my emotional and physical conditions.
In my current life, I have Easy Does It Level 1 as a place to start, it will have its challenges, I am in a wheelchair a good part of my time now due to my multiple sclerosis. I am seeing an allergist now that shows a lot of promise. I have a lot of stomach issues and allergies.
But I hope my testimony can help someone out there with overloaded health matters.
I am getting ready for a new Oxycise journey! Thank you Oxycise!
Sincerely,
