“Hello! My name is Tiffany. I am 30 years old, and a mother of two. After two very difficult and high risk pregnancies (the majority of them spent on bed rest), I was frustrated with my weight. I was not obese, but I was overweight, and did not feel good about my appearance. I grew up as a swimmer, and played water polo in high school. I have always had physically challenging jobs in the past which helped keep me fit, and I LOVE to be active, so not being able to exercise during my pregnancies was awful. I gained well over 50 pounds with each pregnancy. When I got pregnant with my second baby, I still had not lost 20 of the pounds I gained with my first. “Almost to the one year mark since I started your program, and I thought I’d give you a little update as encouragement for anyone who is skeptical. I bought the level 1 and the cd and book last August…I needed help learning the breathing technique and was amazed at how quickly you responded to my email. With your help I quickly mastered the breathing technique and I’ve never looked back.
“About 6 – 8 weeks later I bought the level 2 (I alternate them but I prefer the level 2 exercises). It’s so easy to incorporate 15 minutes of exercise into my morning before I dress for work – even when I’m on holiday I will do what I can remember of my favourite positions.
“Not only did I lose the 20 lbs which I had gained over the past 10 years (in a hurry 2 – 3 months) but for me the biggest benefit is the increased energy and joy for living that I feel when I do the program faithfully (4 – 5 times a week).

I figured I was just going to have to accept the fact that my body was aging
“I have always thought of myself as being physically fit; In fact my family and friends have always considered me to be an exercise fanatic. Health and fitness have always been a top priority for me. My father is a doctor. I studied nursing and received an LPN certificate and my husband is an RN. For the past twenty-some years, exercise has been an important part of my life. At least 3 times each week I completed an hour-long session. My most recent exercise routine consisted of the following: 15 minutes of ballet stretching and warm-up exercises, followed by 30 minutes of aerobics, and ending with another 15 minutes of cool-down stretching. By the time I set aside part of my day for exercise, then spent the hour on my routine, followed by a shower and changing clothes, it took about 2 hours from start to finish.
“I have never been overweight. In fact, I have always been 5 to 10 pounds underweight for my 5’9” height, according to all the charts I have seen. But as I reached my 40’s, I noticed that I was not able to maintain the same muscle tone I had when I was younger, even though I have faithfully continued to exercise. I felt like I was already spending a lot of time exercising each week; I didn’t want to spend more time, but I didn’t know what else to do. When I increased the length of my workouts my muscles became sore. I figured I was just going to have to accept the fact that my body was aging.
“Then, a few months ago, my sister told me about Oxycise! Since the middle of October, I have been doing Oxycise! 6 days a week and I LOVE it! It’s just so easy and convenient. “I’d be lying if I told you that the first day was a piece of cake, but in addition to my regular Oxycise!, I added 20 minutes of aerobic dancing…that worked great in the blood sugar control department. (Keep in mind, the experts say you have to keep up aerobic exercise for at least 45 minutes to reap benefits). Update from Lesleigh – Size 16 to 12
“I still think it’s too good to be true, but the proof is in the pudding. My question is for you, how is this possible that I’ve gone down from a size 16 to a size 12, and I’m losing inches, yet the scale has only come down 6 pounds? (I’m not complaining at all, but my past experience has been that even with exercise, I had to lose 10 pounds before I went down a size). By the way, I was thinking,’OK, these are designer pants, and designers tend to cut larger because we American women don’t want to face the truth of how fat we really are.’ Well, I went to a department store and tried on clothes ( I need a new outfit for a party on Sunday) and across the board, I’m wearing size 12, albeit some of the items were a tad snug. Oh, how wonderful it is to shop again!”

I’ve lost almost 30 pounds
“Hello all, I’m Barbara’s husband. Yes, I watched Barbara do Oxycise! for a year with considerable skepticism. I had seen her lose weight, but from my perspective 15 pounds was hardly losing weight. But she did keep it up and seemed to be fitter and that’s what turned me around. Both Barbara and I have been taking Tae Kwondo for about three years and are now almost red belts (two levels below black belt). Tae Kwondo had helped me get in better shape e.g., flexibility. I also bicycle to work in the summer and generally drop five pounds every year, but then Christmas comes, and I’m sure you know the rest. So I started Oxycise! to get fitter with not much expectation of losing weight. Well, as Barbara has mentioned, I’ve lost almost 30 pounds (I seem to be at a plateau, but I am not in a hurry).
“I was skeptical of some aspects of the breathing at first. Being a natural deep breather, I wasn’t sure I wanted to try to ‘sniff’ in three times while I was tightening my abdomen. I think it took me some time to actually tone my abs enough that I could start doing it properly. I twigged on tucking the pelvis in, and lifting the abs. For the first two months all I could do was generally tighten my abs and hold my breath. Now however, I can feel the isotonic tension as I tighten and breathe….After about four months, I now feel that I have the breathing down pretty well, and am able to focus on making the positions more and more challenging.
