I was feeling hopeless that I could ever feel good about my body again

“I want to tell you about my results. I have worked really hard and have lost a lot of weight in the past few years, but I have been feeling really downhearted about my body, because no matter how well I ate, or how many vitamins I took, or how much I exercised, my skin was so loose, and my body shape just wasn’t satisfactory.
“I am 45, and so the signs of aging combined with a large weight loss had left my body looking old, my skin really loose and without much tone. “I’m a 38 year old mother of four and writer (translate sedentary) weighing 160 lbs. at 5’7”. “You may not remember me, but I am on the Oxycise! website ‘Smiles of Success.’ I have gone on to lose 40 more pounds since I submitted those, by following Jill’s ‘Fuel For Success’ eating plan mostly, and Oxycising when possible but not daily. I cannot say enough about eating more veggies and fruits and avoiding meat, dairy, sugar, etc. When I was just Oxycising alone I kept weight off, but not losing either, while eating all those unhealthy things (as Jill predicts in her book). As I did both, and even just following the eating lifestyle, I have dropped the weight.
“Her book, which in my opinion doesn’t get enough emphasis, is very similar to other plans out there including ‘Fit For Life’ and Marilu Henner’s (food combining.) Just wanted to mention that!”

“An Oxyciser for nearly four years, this is the one exercise I keep coming back to. I have in the past swam, jogged, jump-roped and danced my way to fitness, and currently enjoy the peaceful breathing movements of yoga and tai chi, but Oxycise! is the one exercise I consistently practice. “It’s Marilyn Blackwell. I just had to confess that I really know that Oxycise works! People like me are bull-headed and still choose to beat up the body and walk for miles. Recently I got tired of my hips not moving. I started back on Oxycise! I had been doing kick-boxing every other day and aerobics and yoga on the alternate days everyday (but 8) since the beginning of May. “This past May I started an intensive exercise program with kickboxing/weights/yoga (60min) and alternating with aerobics/yoga(45-60 min) alternate days. From May until now I have only missed eight days. During that time I tightened up and felt more conditioned and limber, but no changes in inches lost. Then six weeks ago I started Oxycise! I love this program and combined it with my other routine because I like the routine that I got in to. I Oxycise! at least once a day and on many days do Levels I and II and also in my car when I am driving. What a surprise when I measured this morning. I still weigh 145, but am so much tighter and toned and my face is firmer. I don’t look like I am constantly pregnant anymore

I lost my double chin the first week. I didn’t know you could do that!
“I am a young 60 years old. My name is Kate. I am 5 ft. 7 and started out at 240 lbs. I’m a college graduate with a masters in business management and hold a professional position in administration. Unfortunately, the latter means I sit in front of a computer a lot. In September my doctor told me I was on the cusp of Type 2 Diabetes (The type where your body is insulin resistant). Up until I turned 30 I weighed 153, but gained weight after my last pregnancy and found it impossible to lose it and keep it off. My blood pressure went up as did my cholesterol, but It didn’t particularly bother me. I’m healthy. I’m friendly and outgoing. People treat me well and I am able to do most of the activities I enjoy doing. When my weight started becoming a medical problem, however, I made up my mind to do something about it. My husband saw Oxycise! advertised in the paper and ordered it for me.
“The first thing I noticed – and the reason I got ‘hooked’ on Oxycise! – was the change in my face. I lost my double chin the first week. I didn’t know you could do that! Then I started noticing other changes almost on a daily basis – a dimple in my smile, a waste line. “When I first started Oxycise! I didn’t do the smile because I had enough other things to think about (okay, I admit it, I felt kind of strange doing it). Along the way during the first month or so I started doing the smile. I have some allergy trouble, and I DO notice that smiling opens up my nasal passages more.

“I’ve only had the videos for a little under four weeks now…my face looks like it did when I graduated high school twenty-some years ago (to the dismay of the cheerleader I ran into the other day :0). My muscles don’t cramp like they used to, and when they do, I find that the basic breath makes the cramp go away immediately. My arthritis doesn’t bother me much, even with the spring weather. I don’t ‘purr’ when I take a deep breath, anymore. AND, I feel different. I don’t mean ‘alive’ and ‘Energetic,’ although I do feel that, too–I mean when I poke around on my body, it feels different. Even my stubborn hips and lower abdominal (I hesitate to say) muscles. I feel harder, firmer. I am assuming this is muscle. (Would someone PLEASE confirm this for me?) Like you, I haven’t made many changes in my diet–meaning some days I eat right and some days I lose my head completely. So who knows? If I had watched what I ate during the past three weeks (darn those chicken livers, anyway) maybe I WOULD have lost 15 inches instead of 7 or 8? I made the choice. But when I ordered the videos, I promised myself I would do them faithfully for 2 months and then evaluate the results or lack thereof. And you know what? I’ve already made my decision. If you FEEL that much better after doing something, it is worthwhile. (Unless it’s illegal.)”
My neck is smooth and there is NO double chin!
“Hi – I started doing Oxycise! Level One about three weeks ago. I did the level 1 for two weeks and now have being doing Level 2 for one week. I haven’t lost any weight but my pants are looser. But the best part is my face! I was beginning to have a little pad of fat under my jaw and my neck was getting wrinkled (I’ll be 58 in three weeks – eek!). Well, my neck is smooth and there is NO double chin! I know these exercises work and will do them forever! I am so much more limber and have a lot of energy. I’ve started back to walking (currently at four 15 minutes a week) and have added light weights a few days a week. I’m so healthy it’s disgusting and I love it! … 15 minutes a day! “Dear Jill,
“This is my testimony. I have struggled with weight on and off for as long as I can remember. I’ve tried it all, as have so many. My mother died of a mild heart attack at the age of 53 … (and she also had struggled with weight for years without any real success) last summer I was coming to the end of it fast … I had gained and gained without really overeating . . . I was so tired and feeling sicker physically by the day…I went to the doctor, sure that the high blood pressure medication was making me sicker than I needed to be. So, he told me to take an aspirin a day to prevent a heart attack or stroke…he also told me to double up on my blood pressure medication and come back when I was finished and he’d put me on estrogen as well…at this point I weighed 250 lbs and was a tight size 46…but he also told me when I questioned him about the pills that I might as well forget about losing weight because this is what happens to women over 50. Needless to say I didn’t feel very victorious…I tried doubling up on the pills and really felt sick so I quit that.
“…My husband and I go out mushroom picking in the fall and I was finding it a struggle to walk across the yard. And can you imagine how hard it would be to drag 250 lbs up the mountains to pick mushrooms. I had also taken to hiding out more or less at home because I felt fat…forget the mirror! Amen! Then as it was so incredibly hot here this fall, we couldn’t go picking because the sun dried up the mushrooms…(not that I was in any shape to go anyway) so I had taken to viewing the shopping channel now and then and caught you on in September. At one point you either read or talked about someone over 50 losing weight on the Oxycise! Program…and I felt the Lord as ‘this is for you’…you also gave a demonstration of the Oxycise! Basic Breath and I ordered the program. As it takes 10 days for us on the west coast of Canada to get stuff from the Shopping Channel I started deep breathing from what I had seen you do on T.V.
“Since I got my videos I have gone from the tight 46 down to a 42– in some cases 40– as far as sizes go. I have lost fat from all over … when I started my waist had gone somewhere…now I actually have one back. My face, which had disappeared into a mass of chins more like one fat blob, has actually taken on bone structure once again. I’ve lost about 3 inches off my bust, at least 4 off of my hips…thighs and buns and arms about 3 inches…I even lost a ring size…and I’ve not changed anything I eat…
“My husband who took early retirement this past January is 55 and started doing it too…he has lost his middle pouch, and also lost off his face and neck. Now, we do it together in the morning and I do it again at night …

“I am also one who has ridden the weight loss roller coaster all my life, including the phen-fen diet. Like most, I lost weight on these diets. Also like most, I gained it all back and then some. I decided that I had had enough with the fad diets so I started looking for something that didn’t require me to put a foreign substance into my body.
“My most successful weight loss experience came when I started walking regularly, so that is exactly what I did. My husband used to work out with weights a lot also, actually something we enjoyed doing together, so we both decided to sign up with a personal trainer. I was working out in some fashion at least seven days a week!! Somehow, though, the weight wasn’t coming off. It seemed as if I was building muscle through the weight training, but it was beneath all the fat. I figured that I had seriously messed with my metabolism with all the fad diets.

I have lost 1 1/2 inches from my waist in two weeks! I am so pleased that I have decided to do the level one workout twice a day. I am doing the workout in the morning and in the evenings. In the morning, I taking a break while at work to do the workout. I enjoy doing the exercises during work because they help me keep my energy up during the day.

“I have been doing oxycise now for nearly 2 years in that time I have increased energy and flexibility, a lot more mobile at only 54 years old then when I started, I felt like a 90 year old and was having trouble keeping up with our grandson. With this breathing technique the lower abdomen just naturally extended with yummy oxygen and thus I was able to successfully draw the abdomen in when it was required.
