I felt I could breathe for the first time in months
“I began Oxycising in mid Feb. I first became aware of Oxycising through my sister who has been overweight most of her life. She visited our home in Des Moines in November and I noticed she was ‘shrinking.’ She told me she was breathing and doing a few easy isometric exercises three times a week for 15 minutes. I commented, ‘good for you’ and was not interested in hearing anymore. . .it sounded weird to me.
“I saw Deb again in December and she was even smaller!! I asked how she could diet during the holidays and she claimed that indeed, fudge and turkey dressing had not been denied! NOW I WAS INTERESTED!!
“She and I Oxycised before our Christmas dinner. I loved it! It helped relieve a migraine headache I was suffering from at the time. . .likely due to a chocolate overload!! In addition, I felt I could breathe for the first time in months. I had been diagnosed in October with acute bronchitis and it was not letting go. We immediately went on line and I ordered two videos and a commuter CD.
“I received the products in January but only did them a few times as I was very tired and weak from my illness. I finally began a daily routine Feb. 20. I try to Oxycise! every morning with the video. My job as a choir director takes me out of town two nights a week which affords a perfect opportunity to use the commuter CD.
“I measured myself on Feb. 25. I have lost a total of 6” in less than 3 weeks! I was a size 12-14 a month ago. Saturday, I purchased two size 10 outfits. My 18 year old daughter loved one of the outfits and tried it on. She got pretty depressed when it fit her. She started questioning if I viewed her as being overweight. Although the answer was no, I encouraged her to take the steps necessary to feel good about herself. She decided that Oxycising would be the answer for her too. Sunday we measured each other and began a routine.
“I know this is just the beginning for me and hopefully my daughter. We have set some modest goals for overall inches lost. I am confident that I will keep up with this and that I WILL achieve these goals.
“You may be interested in knowing that I use the Oxycise! breathing techniques with my Children’s Choruses. I direct the Des Moines Children’s Chorus. Basic deep and diaphramatic breathing is an important part of our curriculum. Oxycising also helps with their facial expressions and overall positive attitude because, frankly, a person just looks happy when they breathe this way! During our monthly day long rehearsal, we’ve started taking Oxycise! breaks. I’ll typically take the kids outside to get lots of fresh air in their lungs. During these ‘breaks’ we’ll do a few of the isometric exercises as well. At first they thought I had lost my mind, but now they are used to it and seem to enjoy it very much!!”

“When I ordered the Oxycise! videos I had just turned 40 and was about 20 lbs overweight. I am the kind who always ate whatever I liked and burned it all off, except I guess I didn’t quite burn it off and those 20 lbs crept up on me very gradually, over two pregnancies and 8 years of motherhood.
“One of the first changes I noticed with Oxycise! was that I could bike up the long, steep hill to my house without feeling like my lungs were going to explode. I could also run with my kids and not be out of breath after 10 paces. My body changed gradually – so gradually it sometimes seemed like nothing was happening.
“Now, close to a year later, I look back and I am soooo glad I kept at it. My weight is back to what it was when I was 20. Barbara added in a separate message:
“My before weight was 142 lbs, after is 125 (I am 5’6″) I went from a tight size 6 or 8 to a loose 4 or 6. Shopping has become great fun because I can complain to the sales clerks about not finding anything small enough!”
My inches began to fall off. I went from a size 14 to a size 8.
“After 10 years of trying to lose weight with the low fat/high carb approach to eating, and systematically gaining 20 pounds, I found a carbohydrate management way of eating. It took me a year to lose the 20 pounds I’d gained, but I still had the original 10 pounds to lose.
“The eating management was excruciatingly slow and after a year, I was plateaued on the weight, but worse, my clothes fit the same way they had when I was heavier and no one noticed my achievement. I couldn’t even see it in myself.
“Then I was introduced to breathing as a form of exercise. I used another plan for the first month and began to see some changes, but for me, there were some difficulties with the program. At that point, I found Oxycise! My inches began to fall off. I went from a size 14 to a size 8 and another 10 pounds came off quickly.
“Oxycise! is the only form of exercise I’ve ever stuck with long-term. I have all seven tapes and I do a different one faithfully every morning. I went to Australia last summer and even did Oxycise! on the airplane! I also do one ‘rep’ before meals and use Jill’s commuter tape on car trips that are long enough.

2. My calves and forearms feel really taut, as compared to feeling mushy. (It’s hard to tone these areas).

“I’m a 38 year old mother of four and writer (translate sedentary) weighing 160 lbs. at 5’7”. “You may not remember me, but I am on the Oxycise! website ‘Smiles of Success.’ I have gone on to lose 40 more pounds since I submitted those, by following Jill’s ‘Fuel For Success’ eating plan mostly, and Oxycising when possible but not daily. I cannot say enough about eating more veggies and fruits and avoiding meat, dairy, sugar, etc. When I was just Oxycising alone I kept weight off, but not losing either, while eating all those unhealthy things (as Jill predicts in her book). As I did both, and even just following the eating lifestyle, I have dropped the weight.
